So my main account in console ( Xbox one ) is getting an LC 202 ERROR discconection. I have no clue on why. My internet is wired. I tried to log in on another account and it works perfectly fine. My main work on other games as well it just doesn’t work on overwatch. I uninstalled the game and did everything possible but still not working. If you have any suggestions let me know. Ps I did everything that was on blizzard site as well. Help a person out if you know anything. Thank you very much.
Just as a precaution, make sure that these steps are followed. I understand that only one account appears to be affected, but it works to make sure all possible issues on your end are resolved first:
I did all these steps and it looked to be fine with everything. I uninstalled the game and install it back and it worked finally. Now the next morning it’s not working again. If it has to be like this forever then I’ll consider myself quitting the game forever.
I have this exact same issue on my Xbox for the past few days. I’ve done everything except uninstall the game. Please help with this issue asap
I’m on Ps4 and totally the same my main account gets LC-202!! Please fix this!
Okay, I do believe there is a connection route issue. Its difficult with consoles to pinpoint this, but the best option is to use a Windows computer that is on the same network as your console and run WinMTR tests as you play on console.
WinMTR instructions:
- Download WinMTR from http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/ (Console players need a Windows Desktop Computer connected to the same network as their console to do this.)
- Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop.
- Open the WinMTR folder and select the 32 or 64 bit version. Choose whichever one corresponds to your version of Windows.
- Run the WinMTR.exe
- Type the IP address you want to trace in the “Host” field. To get the correct IP you will actually need to open up the game and go Practice Vs AI or Quick Play and if you are on PC hit Ctrl+Shift+N and it will bring up the ingame network diagnostic graph, or go to Video > Options > Display Network Performance Graph if you are on any platform including Console. In the top left corner is the IP address you want to run WinMTR to.
note When looking at the IP it will show up ingame as something like 12.34.56.78:12345. You will want to leave the last 5 digits and the colon at the end off and the IP you want to use is just the 12.34.56.78 - Once you notice the connection issue while playing, play for about 6 more minutes, minimize the game and click on “Stop”.
- Click on “Copy text to clipboard”, then return to this forum thread.
- Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:

If in the event you can’t even connect to Overwatch and get into any game mode at all, please use one of the following IP addresses based on your geographical region:
- US West - 24.105.30.129
- US Central - 24.105.62.129
- Brazil - 54.207.107.12
- Europe - 185.60.114.159
- Europe - 185.60.112.157
- Korea - 211.234.110.1
- Taiwan - 203.66.81.98
Same issue here on xbox
I can’t login with my account but another works fine same problem with my friend
I guess this new to the game. There’s breaking news sign now. I hope it gets fixed when they done updating. Althou I did download everything yall suggested. Didn’t every step in blizz page. Contacted Microsoft. Nothing helped. It’s a bug from the game it self I suppose
I had the same issues, just for one out of my two accounts on Xbox One so I ruled out any ISP issues, BUT I solved by resetting the connection between my Xbox OW Account and Blizzard Gamertag.
Follow Blizzard Support - Overwatch 2 Console Error LC-202.
I believe it was blizzard server issues. They have fixed the bug and it’s now playable
