Lynx 17 possible weapon and Mercy's Possible Rework link?

(this continued from “Lynx Seventeen” might just be the last new hero. (4#) - General Discussion - Overwatch Forums (blizzard.com), but since it’s a new day, a new coffee… not bumping it, but making a new topic.)

Now to remind those, or catch up for those who missed it.

Mercy might be getting a rework.

Aka Mercy will grant an ally to fly to another ally, instead of rez.

But rez fans do not fear, because I present the possible answer for all this.

Rez is moving to a support who can make better use of it.

I present to you Lynx 17 (who I am 80% sure is going to be one of the next hero.)

And before you say, “they” look another robotic npc.

This character is alot more complex then that. (Note: for 1, note established gender neutral early on. plus more but that’s not the focus.)

To the point the character style is hinting they are a runner.

Which fits the rez style, (since Mercy is a mobile support)…

But what else…

Well what do you think Lynx 17 weapon?

We do be lacking another electric based hero.

Just imagining Lynx running around rezing people and then charging up for a Knockback attack.

Likely some kind of tracking and healing ability and ult In between.

If it keeps to the “parkour“ style, healing or maybe Knockback could be increased due to your speed.

This kit fits the electric robot bunny logo likely to with it.

Lol oh yeah dont fear lazy game design will take a fantastic ability, replace it with a lame one, and give it to someone else.

Seriously its always funny though when op specifically says things like this.

Jesterskull the one who conplained about others getting symms abilities but its okay to any other hero.

Why would you remove Mercys most defining trait to someone else, this doesnt make any sense. Also the E ability rework is super super lame, and keeps mercy more on the sidelines more than ever

Mercy needs more direct impact and agency, less team reliance, especially for OW2

I imagine Lynx as not even having a traditional weapon. I imagine them having their primary being replaced with a scan, as seen in their comic.

Imagine a primary fire shaped like D.va’s Defense Matrix, but it deals damage like Winston’s tesla, and can harm enemies through walls. Any enemies it damages get their silhouette and ult charge revealed to Lynx.

Since Lynx wouldn’t have much range, they’d need to utilize some high-mobility to get in and out of the fray. Which, given their rabbit inspiration, is fitting.

Actually think the weapon was in hand because he is an Omnic.

Could make some interesting parkour animation…

Anyway… focus is elsewhere tonight.

The attack should ignore shields like Winston’s primary.
