LW is high skillcap, not crap (Tips from 100hour player)

My whole post is about how good LW is lol what are you talking about?

Personally, I have 43 hours of experience with the Lifeweaver. I consider myself to be skilled at positioning and understanding the abilities of both my teammates and opponents, thanks to my extensive 926 hours of playing as Mercy. Based on my experience, I believe that the Lifeweaver could benefit from a buff to its healing charge rate.

The recent change from 65 to 75 was a step in the right direction, but in practice, it’s rare to have a full charge when healing. The most effective healing occurs when the charge is between 30 and 60. After playing several hours with the Lifeweaver following the buff, I found that I rarely used the full 75 charge. If the developers are unwilling to increase the charge rate, they could consider adjusting the scaling numbers instead.

In terms of damage output, I seldom find myself dealing damage with the Lifeweaver, as I always have something more important to attend to. This differs from my experience as Mercy, where using the pistol for damage wasn’t as valuable as damage boosting a teammate. Therefore, my only issue with the Lifeweaver lies in its heal charge. Perhaps a minor rework to its ultimate ability could allow for repositioning it once, providing more strategic options for its use.

which is it?
good or bad

He can be the weakest healer and still a strong pick lol. It’s called utility. If you didn’t read, don’t comment.

but he isnt the weakest healer

Again another person who isn’t commenting AT ALL on what the post is about. I never said he was in my post. You people just don’t read.

What rank are you? I only ask because you listed a lot of tips and stuff and have some controversial opinions alongside so it would be hugely strengthening to your argument if you provided the details.

bro why are you lying so much

“Controversial opinions” States none. Lol.

All Supports have area effect healing.

In fact, the only Supports that don’t have single-target healing are Lucio and Baptiste.

This is false. Lucio’s lines up with Brigitte’s in area effect healing. Only Amp boosts it, and it is the equivalent of Repairpacks on all targets.

It isn’t really.

Whether you charge it to full or tap it, the healing is the same rate, and its higher than Mercy’s primary healing; though it won’t last as long.

His healing isn’t low. Every time I have one on my team they have tons of heals. The problem is he doesn’t contribute to damage at all so if your team is lacking in damage output then his healbotting doesn’t really help.

I just started playing LW today and he’s really fun. Life grip is such a fun ability. Anyone with good game sense will make good use of it and my teams have given me a lot of praise too for my life grips. I think they should change his ult though its boring.

That won’t make him fun to play with. I’ve played with masters and gm life weavers. It ain’t a fun experience.

Doesn’t have to just be unnecessary. I’d rather them play literally anything else. Then I wouldn’t need my agency destroyed because those chose a failure of a character design who possesses their teammates.

Being a good Life Weaver is like being good a gaslighting. It’s impressive the show you put on with it. But that doesn’t make it healthy or fun.

Overall I like the tips that you put here and lower. It’s a good resource. That being said it doesn’t stop the character being terribly unfun to play with, and until they add f to accept I will continue campaigning against this failure of a grip implementation.

They’re probably better at him than you.

…Which doesn’t equate to impact.

But your interpretation does.

Do you think Zen is a main healer? Or do you acknowledge that good trans will buff his numbers?

And those numbers are meaningless because they don’t describe impact. They describe an average.

The problem is his healing is low impact and his pull is a crap design with no consent clause.

Which means nothing. Stats aren’t a good measure of impact.

I wish it required consent.

Low impact heling is weak healing.

For the user. It’s terrible for anyone on the receiving end.

Not to play with.

Hilarious.

Funny how some forumers continue to defend he is good when he has terrible metrics and even the best players cannot climb with him

Guess you are just all playing him in a way the best players in the world cant huh

If he was a high skillcap hero the best players would be able to benefit and succeed with him right? But they dont. He is unplayable at high rank’s implying you are totally wrong about the hero

In fact i would argue he actually has a severely low skill cap. There is only so much value you can get from the hero before he cant do anything else, so beyond that point any higher skill player get nothing in return so you may as well swap

If the best players get stuck in plat with him it kind of implies that the max amount of value you can get with him is only enough to get you to around plat rank. He literally doesnt provide a high enough of a skillcap for better players to push the hero any further than that. They get to plat and the hero cannot do anything more to get you higher

He is 100% a low skill floor, low skill ceiling hero. Ie the worst kind of design. Easy to pick up and play because he requires 0 aim, but you only can get so far before his peak potential caps out and you get no more value from him. He is a hero solely viable in low ranks and with his current kit design he will not be playable at high ranks until he gets a complete rework. Worst hero ever added to the game in 7 yrs

He does have a high skill cap but that only makes him even more unsatisfying to play. No matter how amazing you are at him, he just gets out performed by every other support and having 1 clutch save every few minutes is not enough.

I have played so well with him in some games, saved my entire team from AoE ults, saved so many people with life grip, out healed every other support, got my fair share of kills and that’s still not enough to win.

I have a friend who plays LifeWeaver only at the moment and even in QP he is pumping out 7k heals or more. In Control Maps, he is pumping out upto 14k. I personally think his heal is fine.

Honestly. Good.

As long as he keeps life grip, he should never enter the meta or be good. He ruins agency. Shouldn’t have gotten past the first lookover much less made it into the game this long.

Comparing general paly with the top ranked players is pointless lol. 95% of players arent the best palyers so it doesn’t really matter. If it doesn’t work you swap like with any other champion. Its always situational.

responded to you on accident.

Refuse to listen because you called him a champion. What is this, LoL? :stuck_out_tongue:
