Lucio ult should scale with drop height

It’s funner this way, funner to counter too! Especially when Brigitte and Zen have safer ult cast Lucio should be rewarded with the beat drop that can be interrupted :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

This sounds super cool but I think it would do more harm than good. Lucio’s would be climbing away from their team members to get to the top of the windmill on Illios. And then if they die before landing or everyone else dies before they land, there would be a lot of flaming.

I imagine absolute terror would be caused when you see a Lucio wallriding to the top of the highest building nearby, and then seeing him lunge off to start his descent to the ground.

“Quick! We must kill him before he lands!”

It’s too late, he dropped a beat from 100 feet up, and granted his team 10k shields. You might as well jump off the map, 'cause surely you won’t ki… wait, Sombra just EMP’d everyone. Looks like that 10 min climb he made was for nothing. Sorry, Lucibro.

I love the idea! Basically the higher he drops the beat, the more health he gives. It would put a whole new meaning to the word “beat drop”.

Of course I’m sure there would have to be a capping point so you can’t, as someone mentioned, drop like 10k health on your team after climbing a large building or something. It would be pretty funny to see how creative Lucio mains can be in finding the best dropping zones.

To add to that I would love if they add specific voicelines that he says depending on how high he falls and successfully pulls off. Like if he fell from a super high place he can go “Check out my fattest beat drop!” Or something like him going “Beat drop of no return!” If he did it and fell for a long time, or missed and fell off the map lol

I don’t think this would be very balanced, but I’ll admit, it’s kind of a fun idea.

I just think it needs to cast faster. On Numbani, we were attacking the first point before the payload and Soldier used his ult and I was weak but I needed to ult to save the team. My ult popped me up from behind the payload and I died to his ultimate in the time it took me to hit the ground.

For fun of course …

I think so long as it has a reasonable cap and the minimum of just sitting on the ground is lowered.

Then how much barrier would a Sombra break if a Lucio beat-dropped into the infinitely deep well on Well?

Shifting balance around for fun isn’t the best idea.
