Try watching a few good Lucio players like Frogger and whoever else… they might change ur mind on how Lucio isn’t a throw pick in the right hands

you are moving the goalposts AND creating a false dichotomy.
lucio is not a throw pick, and a character isn’t required to have a best in class ability in order to be good.
also not sure if you know that lucio has permanent wall climb.
you can think really hard about the abilities in the game and how lucio’s compare to the field on your own time. i’m not biting.

AOE healing and speed boost, none of which is on a cooldown, all this while being to shoot at the enemy to apply pressure
An ez to land cc on a short cool-down in form of boop (idk the name of the ability lol)
Easily the best mobility support in the game, allowing him to be anywhere he wants to help his team (who shouldn’t be all clump together unless they’re bronze).
High survivability, as well as his mobility, let him contest angles and space without being wildly out of position because he can move between places so quickly.
But yeah you’re right he’s horrible that’s why he’s pretty much never used in the highest level of play like ever /s

Lucio does look like a throw pick when I play him tbf.
It depends on team comp and more importantly individual skill. If you have coordinated team playing with a good lucio is insane but if you are playing with teamates that cant survive without constant heals, then he wont be useful.
Every hero is a throw pick if you don’t know how to play it.
look at literally any random overwatch league match throughout history and there is like a 70% chance a lucio will be on at least one of the teams.
the reason they play him so much in pro? he’s a great support
