Lucio Interaction

So there i was in a game and i was listening to a interaction luico was having. Idk who it was with.

He was talking about the Tech he uses that his dad made. He is like my dad made this and the viska took the the research or something. Well wasnt his dad working for Vishka so therefore his work was funded by them making it their tech?

So isnt lucio just a theif?

it’s with Symmetra, and they have some beef together and no lucio isn’t the thief here

The interaction is with Mercy,
Legally, yes, he’s a thief. Not a petty one either.
Morally, that’s up for debate. He said it’s his father’s life’s work, so imagine he felt justified taking it.

It’s essentially a Robin Hood situation.

I would say he’s a thief. Regardless of one’s relationship to the creator of the said stolen things, he can’t just take something because of how he feels. Lucio didn’t create his tech, his dad did as a job.

And, it sounds like military tech, too. It’d be like someone stealing a tank, because their dad made it while employed by the government. He’s essentially just a low life thief.

Thats what i was thinking. As someone said it was a robin hood act… Well no because he also states its one of a kind. Meaning he hasnt given the tech to make the place better. He has kept it for him self. I really think Lucio is a theif

I mean yeah, Lucio is a thief, but stealing technology that was used to oppress people then using it to free them and send the oppressors packing kinda washes away the crime of stealing imo.

if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, its a chicken… He is a theif. Doesnt matter what the reasoning is. He stole tech he didnt create and that was paid for by someone else…

Thief is a theif by any other name

OverWatch is also considered illegal to be in. Morals will vary, when it comes to who is in charge.

We all know the atrocities of the holocaust. But, the one’s leading it thought they were doing right. Whoever has the power makes the rules.

And the victor writes the history books

The story behind this is about a moral teeter totter.

It is about the irony of the Vishkar corporation being an authoritarian utopia cult who is opposed to individualism, freedom, and private property using and patenting inventions when it benefits them, contrasted with Lucio’s commitment to freedom, while not respecting Vishkar’s claim of ownership.

Both seem to be willing to violate their own values when the rubber meets the road.

There isn’t enough information to declare Lucio a thief, because the question of IP ownership between Lucio’s father, as the inventor, and Vishkar hasn’t been fully established, nor ownership of the prototype. It could easily be a disputed issue between the heir and the employer.

It still doesnt change the fact that he STOLE it. Regardless. A thief is a thief.

Soldier is also a thief, he stole his gun from the same place that was keeping Echo…

Or I think it was the same place anyway

Can you please provide the ref for it?

How do you know that the prototype was Vishkar property, and not the personal property of Lucio’s father?

h ttps://overwatch.fandom.com/wiki/Heavy_pulse_rifle

Idk if it was the same facility that was holding Echo, but yeah Soldier stole his gun. Overwatch, the corporation, made the gun. But when it disbanded all the weapons were kept in a secret facility, until someone broke in and stole it

Because lucio states it… he states that his dad was working for them. Ergo it was made using their funding ergo meaning it was there since they paid for the research.

Wrong sir, wrong…the ā€œCore techā€ was all that is stated to have been patented and owned by Vishkar, and even that doesnt say that it was fully legal, but it says nothing about the prototype, ONLY the core tech.

Furthermore, a company only has IP rights to inventions if the inventor enters into an agreement to grant it. It is not automatic.

unknown intruder. Yes will it is more than likely 76 it doesnt quiet implicate him in the theft of the rifle. He might has seen it on the black market and goes dude i know what this is. i better get it before it falls into the wrong hands…

So you agree that the CORE TECH was stolen. So he still stole something that didnt belong to him. LUCIO IS A THEIF!

I mean, if so he steal from some evil souless corpo, not much to care about.
But if you do, think about storm rising, how they stole that truck of explosives just laying around. And then blow it up.
