Players should be able to customise Lucio’s music. It’d be a small change which would bring no bad, and would let players customise their game experience to their own taste.
Here are some of the reasons I think this should happen:
-Lucio’s style of music can be annoying for content creators
-You can’t listen to your own music while playing
-Dubstep music isn’t to everyone’s taste
-The two songs haven’t changed since release (excluding Jazzy Lucio)
In settings, you would have 3 options for Lucio’s song:
-Default music
-Custom music (drag and drop files)
-No music
You have the choice to pick 2 songs- one for speed, one for heals. The song will get slightly louder when amp it up is used. When you have a Lucio on your team, you hear the songs you have selected.
I think some attention to detail would be really nice in the game, and I don’t see how this would be an issue.
Nope. If you were to try it would claim there are corrupted game files, and then you’d have to uninstall and reinstall Overwatch. The game’s files aren’t open to the players to edit.
then i think your suggestion should happen, and to dig even deeper
this should happen since there are religious players that don’t listen to music (listening to music is a sin in islam) and I think it’ll be convenient since muting the game’s music doesn’t mute Lucio’s music.
It’s happened in other games- Blizzard aren’t profiting from people adding things to their game so it should be okay
That would be the player’s fault- you couldn’t put custom music into someone else’s game, if you choose to put grief sounds into your Lucio files then you’re the only one getting a disadvantage.
That wouldn’t matter. It’s still being uploaded onto Blizzard’s servers. People make YT videos of their super cool and edgy plays, so their recording would have that song.
That would be really cool, but considering youtube music is trying to become the new spotify (and Blizzard are partnered with youtube) it probably wouldn’t happen. Though if they partnered with youtube music and made it free for people to use, that would be somewhat profitable for Google (because more people would come to their site).
Spotify doesn’t own the songs in their library. They have licenses they achieve through the music corporations, such as Universal, who will allow Spotify to stream the artists signed under their name.
Blizzard would have to work directly with them. Would it be possible? Sure. But would it be worth it for Blizzard to spend money on it instead of just offering their own library? Probably not.
keep in mind that only spotify subscribers can use this feature, using a song with lucio is technically streaming the song, so there won’t be problems unless if labels personally don’t want their music in overwatch
