Both Pharah and Junkrat do about twice as much damage in a match, on average, as Widowmaker does. I don’t know what sort of warped reasoning leads you to believe that hitscan = more DPS, but even if you don’t have a strong enough grasp of how the game works to understand these things on your own, the stats are literally a few keystrokes and two clicks away.

Can you not count past the first shot?
Of cause they are comparable on the first shot, but we talk about the possibility lowering the DPS of an character.

I wouldn’t be suprised if they remove Widow Mine at some point give her an ability that lets her charge faster (and have a lasterpointer or some other indicator?) while lowering her overall charge speed. So she could be as powerfull as she is now but has to manage a skill for that.

Averaging HP is wrong approach. 6 classes die instanly to fully charged bodyshots, 3 can only be killed with a headshot. A single headshot btw.
OW widowmaker cant kill anyone with fully charged bodyshot, some dps heroes survive even 2. All tanks can take at least 1 fully charged headshot and survive.

To make widowmaker comparable to TF2 sniper we need to:

  1. give her 225 fully charged bodyshot damage
  2. let her bullets pierce through barriers (because they dont exist in TF2)
    only then we can start talking about 3s charge.

terrible idea, shed become trash because she could never kill anything that was jumping on her, shed lose her ability to do jump shots, and she’d not put out damage fast enough to double body shot.

You mean Widow will no longer be a hyper mobile 1 shot kill assassin anymore?
You mean Widow will be prioritising headshots, which good Widows do anyway?

She’s a SNIPER her primary fire is garbage and her mobility is on a 10 second cool-down. she has no utility and her ult is the worst in the game. Stop trying to kill a balanced hero.

She currently makes all the other hitscan dps worthless, because why play a hero that takes 2-3 shots with limited range, when you can play a hero that kills in 1 shot with unlimited range and high mobility.
