I’ve gotten to high plat before but for some ungodly reason I ranked silver as zarya when last time i ranked plat as zarya playing comp for the first time I dont understand plat can be painful but they understand how to push but in silver i was zarya and i keep pushing and telling my team to push i grav kill 2 and make a zarya at 50hp and i see the zarya running away so thats 3v5 and they still dont push than the high charge zarya runs away I dont get it why are they so scared to push

Maybe they just don’t follow the killfeed and aren’t in voice.

Depends on the individual, some play too passive others charge into 6 players and feed
As zarya you just play around how they play, if they play too passive just build your charge and farm grav
If they play aggressive then use your bubbles to help them

lol the most painful thing is being a support waiting for your teammates to push but they dont do anything untl last 30 seconds and then immediately die

I… don’t think this stops later. People just don’t like to initiate… or you get one Rein who does nothing but initiate. … there is no in between.
They have no idea what they’re doing or how to play the game. Same thing happens in plat. Same thing happens in diamond. People are just oblivious.

I wouldn’t say they are scared to push per say, it is more knowing when to push is the problem. I have tanks who frustratedly do push and Reins suicide charge push. The thing with comp though every action feels like your being graded and giving out SR accordingly which is why i usually sit around in QP not to mention i like 10min games not 20+ min games.
I mean I rarely got people who were scared to push in plat it was simply because they got more first picks n stuff like that (in low plat I did get that quite a bit but in like high plat when i got diamond and people like that it kinda stopped occurring for me)
Then people are stupid. You want the enemy team to react to what your team does, not the other way around.
You got a solution to make people smarter? Cause… I don’t.

I believe it is called “education”.
You cant force people to do anything. Play with your team and learn their methods. If they are hesitant, then maybe you should relax. Be aggressive at the right times and work on defending your team, like a tank

If they were making all the correct decisions they wouldn’t be among the lowest ranks. I don’t know why you’re expecting perfection from people who are decidedly below average at the game.
But I wonder what kind of gameplay mistakes you’re making to get you placed in silver. People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Eh, got burned too many times trying to push for a team that wants to sit and poke. You’d think they were camping Dust2 in CS:GO instead of playing Overwatch.
People don’t need to be smarter to overcome a problem like this, they just need better leaders.
How do you think I got to high plat? I did that and I did the same exact thing but got placed silver instead of plat how am i supposed to deal with brain dead teammates? they removed their w key and why arent you top 500 elo hell is a real thing just btw

They are that rank for a reason.
You can ask em to but if they don’t no big deal you’ll rank soon enough.
Btw I have seen gm tanks in plat games throwing cause they play so fast they kill themselves cause team doesn’t follow or know what they are doing.
Regardless if you die cause your thinking your team will play better than there skill level that’s on you.
