im getting 2% progress on role queue when i play support, my rank is bronze 2
You answered your own question really. You’re in bronze so you’ll get low progress. You have to get out of bronze in order to get anywhere. But the MMR thinks you belong there so you’re not getting much.
Getting out of bronze is a grind.
- Everyone, at every rank, gets a fixed number of base points for a win, loses a fixed number of points for a loss.
- For most ranks, this point value is the same as the % value shown, since each tier takes 100 points to climb through
- Bronze however, takes ~300 points for each tier, because Bronze covers a 1500 point spread.
- After your base points per win, you get modifiers based on things like streaks, calibration, and rank disparities. These can be bonuses or penalties.
At bronze, you should get a blanket bonus from “pressure,” a mechanic that pushes everyone towards the middle. However given that bronze lobbies often pull in silver or even Gold players, you have another thing - “Wide.” Basically you take a penalty if you are teamed up with people five or more tiers above you (and those people get a bonus for being teamed up with you). So at Bronze 2, if you end up on a team with a Silver 2 or higher player, you can get the penalty.
I don’t know if 2% is a typo or not, but that does seem absurdly low.
if that was the case, i’d be bronze in other roles too, its just when i play support role
Each role has it’s own MMR. That’s like saying I should be a masters tank because I’m masters support. lmao. FYI I’m a gold tank.
To be in bronze, there has to be something that you are doing fundamentally wrong. You can post some codes and I can review them if you want – although a lot of people on the forum are really opposed to posting codes for whatever reason.
what codes are you talking about?
Profile → History → Replays → at the bottom it says SHARE. Click on that. Then it says REPLAY CODE CREATED.
With that anyone can view your games if they put the code that you generated in. It’s good for providing feedback to other players. Or showing other players weird stuff that they saw in the match.
