Low Priority Queuing

With the current state of overwatch, with one tricks and toxicity everywhere even from myself sometimes I strongly believe that the implementation of a low priority queue for toxic players who blatantly show bad behaviour’s such as the refusal to join voice chat even when being begged to, or simply being toxic.

I am not saying that one tricking is toxic btw, I just wanted to outline that as an ex one trick player myself I understand the appeal however as I play more recently I have found that a lot of one tricks simply refuse to join voice chat and ultimately leave the team down 1 player due to the lack of communication

The biggest point I’m trying to make is that a low priority queue, similar to DOTA 2 system where players who have been reported for gameplay sabotage, abusive chat and other various gameplay reports that aren’t bannable offenses should be place into an exclusive and separate queue with other players of similar nature, I understand that this may have flaws and those flaws can be big. however if correctly done the implementation of this queue with a goal of 2-4 wins to get out of this queue would both deter players who have gotten out of low priority from being toxic as well as remove a large portion of toxicity from the general overwatch populous.

TLDR = Remove toxicity via implementing a low priority queue for toxic players with a goal to get out of it such as 3 wins.

I’m sure Blizzard would agree with you but how do you identify these players? Lots of people (especially on the console platforms) don’t use the report functions because they’re so convinced by the idea that they “don’t do anything.” Weather or not one joins voice chat is probably easily trackable, but toxicity? Not so much. You’re relying on player reports to identify these players, which is… unreliable.

It’s complicated and honestly I don’t have an idea for a good way of tracking these toxic players, however I do know that people on PC use the report system and rather than silencing players which really does hinder a players ability to perform potentially placing those players into low priority queuing would incentivise players to, especially console ones, to use the report function as it would remove those toxic players from their games. Again not sure but I have been pondering this issue for a very long time now, since season 3 really
