I am experiencing a problem. When I am in game, my GPU usage hovers between 60-70%, rather than 90-100%. I am running the game at Ultra on a 1440p 144Hz monitor. I have an RTX 3090 and a Ryzen 3900XT.
I tested the game on my girlfriend’s PC. She has a Ryzen 5800X and an RTX 3080. I noticed that her GPU usage consistently stayed between 94-100%. I ran the game on the same Ultra settings on the same 1440p monitor.
How do I make the game use more than 70% of my GPU and why is this only happening on my system?
This isn’t something you should worry about. 100% usage isn’t a state you should seek out. Your girlfriend’s computer may have other things running in the background using it, different resolution settings in-game, or be running hotter than your setup. All of these things will contribute to using more GPU. The usage level doesn’t directly translate to higher fps.
