Low fps after update, anyone else?

I’m experiencing super low fps after updating, both on PC and switch. Nothing had worked so far to fix it. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks

The only thing that can really be done on the Switch Platform is to try and uninstall and reinstall the game from scratch. For the PC, there are few more options.

Thank you for the response

Yeah I noticed my game was running distinctly worse last night. More lag than usual, audio was blown out at times, and the POTG was having a hard time loading.

Not to mention my switch took almost four hours to download the update

do a full virus scan to make sure there arent any harmful files like malware or spyware. unwanted files can reduce performance on pc drastically.

idk what the problem is with switch, but its probably just the switch sucking as usual lol

[pc] I had similar issue, I had like 1 second lag between mouse move and move on screen. I set high priority in task menager, but it didnt work. I rebooted computer and then game worked fine

on PC Ive recently also had weird lags when moving my mouse, I can’t tell if the game is freezing or my mouse is malfunctioning

Had the same issue on PC. Was playing with friends and they were getting the same. It seemed to fix itself (at least temporarily) when I disabled reduced buffering and re-enabled it.

I’m having the same issue. Was barely able to keep it at my monitor’s refresh rate last night. I’ve been bottlenecked by my GPU for a while and patches like these are making me scared that OW2 will have higher graphics requirements. A shame that GPUs are so ridiculously expensive right now. Honestly, screw crypto miners lol.

They would be expensive and out of stock everywhere even if not a single person bought them for mining.

Also overwatch is very cpu bound.

They’re certainly not helping though. If data centers and gaming demand take up the lion’s share, that’s fair, but the idea of some cryptos wasting GPUs while there are better cryptos out there that don’t require GPUs or the freakish amounts of power consumption makes them an easy scapegoat.

Everyone parrots this but OW still requires a decent GPU if you want a stable 144+ fps @ 1080p w/ 2 monitors… I highly doubt that my R5 3600 is bottlenecking my RX480 for any game.

I used 2 monitors and had around 144 frames, odd time would drop closer to 120 while using my old gtx 970 and a worse cpu than urs.

Recently got a 5800x and 3080 and sit at 400 frames at 1440.

I got the 3080 before I could get the cpu, my frames didn’t go up with a 3080 cuz I was bottlenecked by old cpu.

Be sure to defrag game every time after a downloaded upgrade if it’s not on a SSD.

Otherwise, might wanna check out the hotfix on nvidia graphics driver.
