This interaction is actually just a rumour. It never existed. The closest thing to it was:
Mercy: What happened to you?
Reaper: You tell me, doc.
The voice lines are just a rumor. It was taken too seriously and is the reason why everyone hated Moiras origin story

Aren’t rumors started from facts? Maybe there was some truth in this one. Besides, isn’t weird that some many people swear up and down they have heard this interaction in the game?
Michael Chu even came onto the forums once and confirmed that the lines have never been in the game.
Its called Mandela Effect. I was in the belief that the phrase was “Mirror Mirror on the wall” for more than 15 years instead of “Magic Mirror” and millions are the same with that. It could easily be the case here as well.

Wasn’t there a line that got deleted too, where Reaper would say, “you got it right this time,” when Mercy rezed him?
Man, do you remember that time when reaper ulted and said “it’s dying time” and then proceeds to die?
That mercy line was never actually in the game. It was a rumor. Its believed that before moira was introduced, mercy was the one they intended to have worked on Reyes, but they decided against it.
