Happens every single game recently but has been occurring for around 5ish months. Don’t know how i put up with it ,happens so often I now have been banned in competitve lucio ball and have had so many 12+ games exp bans it has become a normality. Happens in comp as well and every time I lose 50 sr. I have been through the forums and done as much as I can to solve it but to no avail unfortunately. Any other online game I play i experience no lag or connection issues which leads me to think that it is not my end but i’m open to suggestions. Before I get disconnected I experience no lag, it just seems to happen out of nowhere. I believe other people have experience this issue but not recently on a mass scale where it has been reported on any websites that report on the conditions of blizzard servers. Any help would be appreciated, honestly I just want to play the game, I don’t know why I still bother.
What troubleshooting have you completed? As a starting point make sure you have completed all possible steps including advanced troubleshooting steps in this guide:
If all else fails, lets investigate the connection route to see if something between you and the game server is causing your disconnections:
WinMTR instructions:
- Download WinMTR from http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/ (Console players need a Windows Desktop Computer connected to the same network as their console to do this.)
- Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop.
- Open the WinMTR folder and select the 32 or 64 bit version. Choose whichever one corresponds to your version of Windows.
- Run the WinMTR.exe
- Type the IP address you want to trace in the “Host” field. To get the correct IP you will actually need to open up the game and go Practice Vs AI or Quick Play and if you are on PC hit Ctrl+Shift+N and it will bring up the ingame network diagnostic graph, or go to Video > Options > Display Network Performance Graph if you are on any platform including Console. In the top left corner is the IP address you want to run WinMTR to.

note When looking at the IP it will show up ingame as something like 12.34.56.78:12345. You will want to leave the last 5 digits and the colon at the end off and the IP you want to use is just the 12.34.56.78 - Once you notice the connection issue while playing, play for about 6 more minutes, minimize the game and click on “Stop”.
- Click on “Copy text to clipboard”, then return to this forum thread.
- Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:

If in the event you can’t even connect to Overwatch and get into any game mode at all, please use one of the following IP addresses based on your geographical region:

You’re losing packets on your home network and possibly on the line coming into your home from the ISP. This could be a bad cable, bad WiFi signal, bad Network Interface Card, or modem/router. I’d start there, and if switching things out doesn’t fix it, you’ll have to ring your ISP.
really frustrating, can’t get a single game today. My internet works fine, but the game keeps disconnecting.
Can you please start a new thread if you’re interested in troubleshooting? Being able to access websites and other games that are less data intensive can make spotting a local issue difficult.
same, happens every day after i played for about 2 hours, and i assure you its not my internet connection.
I’ve been having Lc-202 error come up for about a week now. Initially it came up while in the Practice Range. Later that day it wouldn’t let me past the title screen. I disconnected my Blizzard Account from my PSN Account and that seemed to fix it. I was able to play about 3 games of Comp before it booted me at the end of the match. I have not been able to get pass the title screen since after trying every sort of fix I could find on the forum and the internet. I cannot connect via direct cable, so I know my router is not the problem.
