Playing with perfect connection then all of the sudden get kicked out of games and says “lost connection to game server (LC-202)”. now I can’t even log onto the servers and they don’t want to do anything about it. I do all of the steps it says when connection problems but they are all useless. now im decaying on top of my disconnected sr loss. no one in my city can play and blizzard is blaming “Canadian internet” when it works for all games except theres, hmmmm
Hey, ShadowStorm!
This appears to be a recent issue for SaskTel customers that is affecting a majority of our games. We have a WoW thread here and are collecting the information on our end. While multiple other Telus-supported ISP’s have been experiencing connection issues these past few weeks, we noticed multiple connection drops for SaskTel customers today.
I do not have any updates, and the only resolutions so far involve using a VPN or a different internet connection entirely. Once we hear more, we will let you all know.
im not gonna just go and pay for vpn why don’t you guys investigate as it effects a lot in this area
That’s exactly what they’re doing when they say they are collecting information. If it’s something they can act on, they will. If it’s just the ISP’s issue, they may try to forward the info to/work with them. A VPN is a temporary solution.
No there not they just say that it’s been over a day and all they say is pay for a VPN, NICOLE
Sasktel is currently working on the major outages stated on the Twitter Post here.
When there is an issue with the ISP peering network, we’re limited on what we can do to resolve these situations since it isn’t directly with our peering partners or network. We communicate with ISPs regularly when these issues occur, but there’s limitations when its not with the servers or our peering partners directly.
Based on the information we have so far, this is specific to the SK province and Sasktel so far, but we are continuing to gather information and checking for any trends in case issues do arise.
While its not ideal, a VPN or a different connection is a temporary workaround in the mean time since it will reroute the connection - and there are free options out there. As Technical Support, we can’t provide recommendations directly since these are applications created by other developers, but with a bit of searching or recommendations from our community members there may be one out there to use for now until the Sasktel issue is resolved
Hopefully, that clarifies some points here, but thanks for your report and understanding!
can you at least link the vpn thread they all cost money
There’s no VPN thread. There are external resources outside of the forums with a bit of searching or feel free to ask our community for any suggestions. Please do so with discretion though since these are managed by other companies.
lmao, but also all the ones i find cost money
Its been like this for just shy of a week now and plenty of people are having the issue. Even EA is more enjoyable at this point even with their “surprise mechanics”. this is taking way to long. even wow isnt working and that is a paid subsrcription game…
True, also all the sr i work for just gone
yeah, i was banned for 8 hours, and lost sr on top of that because other people disconnected before i did. that is another issue. why should the rest of the team lose sr because of a loss due to someone leaving the game on your team. only the leaver should lose the sr. its not fair to the people who have the leaver. the game was designed for 6v6 team fights not a 5v6 loss.
not to mention, blizzard just ghosts their consumers whenever there is an issue. and players start calling them out about not having things fixed and a reasonable amount of time. like the hammond bug on xbox.
They fixed the hammond bug within a reasonable amount of time. As soon as they were back in office the very next day Hammond was disabled. You can’t expect Blizzard to instantly call a developer to just come back to work for that. Developers aren’t on call like engineers tend to be. They have lives too you know.
