Lately, I’ve been running into a really frustrating issue — frequent disconnections from the game server during competitive matches on the Asia servers. I wanted to ask if anyone else has been facing the same, or if I’m just the unlucky one here.
This isn’t just a one-off thing. I’ve noticed that in some lobbies, multiple players DC at the same time — sometimes from my team, sometimes from the enemy team. A few manage to rejoin, but many don’t. One time, six players got disconnected mid-match, and the game became completely unplayable.
The worst part? I’ve gotten bans that stack up to 20 hours — all because of something that’s completely out of my control. I understand the reasoning behind competitive bans — to keep the experience fair and smooth for others — but how is that fair in this situation?
For anyone wondering:
- It’s not an ISP issue. I’ve checked with my provider, and everything’s clean.
- It’s not a general connectivity issue. I don’t experience this with any other competitive game.
- I even switched Battle.net regions, and surprise: the game runs fine.
I even submitted a support ticket, hoping to flag this problem and maybe get some clarity. Instead, I got the good ol’ generic troubleshooting steps copy-pasted back at me. No acknowledgment of a wider issue, no actual support — just a shrug in the form of a hyperlink.
So yeah, I’m posting here to ask: Has anyone else been dealing with the same disconnections on Asia servers during comp? If yes, maybe we can make some noise together. Because right now, it feels like we’re being punished for the game’s own instability.
Thanks for reading, and hoping for some solidarity (or a fix )
