Loss streaks are absolutely the result of bad matchmaking

Blizzard refuses to fix it, they keep this crap incompetent programming in the game for OW2 and we will see OW completely collapse.

Absolutely. You don’t lose because you were outplayed. You lose because the Blizzard rigged the matchmaking system to stick it to you specifically.

“WHY I DID I GET A CALL SO EARLY IN THE MORNING?! CAN’T I JUST HA-”

“TiderLaw is enjoying the game again.”

“That brat. I will stick it to him!!”

but for real, technically the game can be responsible for 1-2 defeats one way or another but not whole streaks. ofc that 1 game due to bad matchmaking (stories of plat vs master tank) can be part of the streak.
for example the game should also react to latency issues while in que imo…

Don’t worry
That Smurf was in my game because of bad match making 100%

smurffs only ruin the game because Blizzard allows them to. Until Blizzard learns the BASICS of PUTTING SMURFFS IN THEIR OWN POOL. This game will always be ROTTEN just like it has been since Q4 2017 when they dumped smurffs into General Population Qs.

Major things that ruin Overwatch.

  • SMURFFS in General population.
  • PUGs Mixed with and AGAINST Premades teams.
  • Poor SR rating system that can’t VET out the competitive throwers.
  • Dueling style match maker (One trick match ups).
  • few , or no nerfs to One-shot crits in the game.
  • The lack of MAPS released.
  • Constant re-balances to the heroes Quarterly.
  • Ignoring fan suggestions and instead only propping up League players.

I can’t say that it has been a fun run in the past 2 years. here in Overwatch. Especially when the last time many of us Mass Migrated from World of Warcraft. We all left for about the SAME reasons, and History repeats itself yet again, today on this game.

For every loss streak, there is an equal and opposite win streak.

The issue is neither feels deserved which is what bad matchmaking is all about I have something of 53 percent wr on doomfist, so in 30 games I would say 10 odd games were equal matchups on both sides and were exciting games win or loose.

Others were extremely lop sided we either roll the enemy hard to the extent me as doom can dance on the kart for a point as enemy have leavers, throwers etc.

The same in loosing games like it’s utterly hopeless when you have flex players on tanks probably hanzo player playing orissa from spawn.

Unless you kill 5 and roll a red carpet these tanks won’t turn a corner.

Not to mention actual 3 rank games I’m getting, I’m getting people two tanks below me in my game cause of the 1000sr duo policy.

That person gets rolled while the enemy team has only two ranks.

We essentially get a 5v6.

Well, I don’t think they’re doubting they were outplayed… I’m not at least when I get absolutely stomped (cheats notwithstanding), but if it’s repeatedly stomping too an fro then there’s something wrong :man_shrugging:t2:

Also, stomping the enemy is just as boring as being stomped, particularly on payload where the most effective play I can make is to sit afk on cart  on the occasion that the teams are pretty evenly matched it can be a great game. With the tremendous number of new accounts though, so many games seem to devolve into who has the best+lowest level accounts

2nd support sits AFK until team dies, then feeds.
Once the match won’t end, a tank quits the match.
Silver players in the same game as diamond players.
Tanks don’t move and are statues or feed their brains out.
In the final round of a match, teammate DC’s and your team loses.
4 stack brings their garbage low rank friends into match and there is literally nothing you can do to make up for their bad decision making.
Support are nut to butt with tanks and ignore dps.
Support pick a combination of characters that offer the least amount of healing and have no idea how to play those characters effectively.
Tanks go ball/hog and ignore the objective and both feed their brains out trying to flank.

The list goes on and on. This happens daily and more than once each day. It absolutely is a problem. It’s really rude and insulting to dismiss this stuff and just call people bad at the game when that often isn’t the case. I’m not saying everyone should be T500. I just think their ranking system doesn’t accurately reflect people’s skill at the game.

Lose streaks are the result of tiltqing

That AND player behavior. Which is why I hate both in OW, the matchmaking and the community

Matchmaking is actually terrible!! this week only i had a huge amount of loss streak! ::::

It’s intentional. If matchmaking can’t find players somewhat near you, it will still aim to maintain your winrate around 50%.

So you can get half of games, where you can be AFK and still get win, and half of games, where no matter what you do, you are destined to lose.

Personal winrate is not a factor of the MM, please stop spreading misinformation.

The MM will start matches with thresholds determined by SR and internal MMR of the players on average in which one team has at least 40% chances of more of winning the match.

Stop deflecting blame to the MM
Stop equating equal chances to equal outcome.

Please learn how the MM works instead. Its not that hard.
No FR, it really isnt. Unless you are into conspiracy theories and “you have been shadow banned by the MM” stuff, it is out there. Literally on this forum, on the competitive section:

Ha-ha, OP is a big troll. Lose streaks are not a thing! Who would design a game in this way?!
I just lost around 12 games in a row btw.

It still means, that matchmaking tries to give you 50% winrate. Just because it doesn’t force it directly, but via arranging players, doesn’t make it invalid.

No one is saying the matchmaking system is rigged, you’re creating a straw man.
OP is saying the matchmaker is evidently badly coded, because wins/losses are so streaky.

Take me for example. Week before last I dropped 300 SR playing the same heroes in the same way I always do.
Last week I climbed back up that 300 SR, plus another 300…still playing the exact same heroes the exact same way.

I understand that teammates and opponents are a variable that will always keep SR in flux, but to ping-pong in such a wide range? The matchmaker isn’t doing its job very effectively.

It’s kind of rigged. It doesn’t force wins or losses directly, but adjusts chances.

If you are winning for a while, your chance to win is being lowered, as matchmaking gets better and better players to “stop” your progress. At the same time, if you lose for a while, you get games, where your chance to win is absurdly high, even if you do nothing.

you being tilted enough to post this is great evidence that you could be tilted enough to cause your own loss streak

sorry man lol
