Blizzard listening to Feedback?? Unheard of!
I was soo skeptical of the Spotlight but I’m actually cool with a lot of things they talked about!
Especially lootboxes! Always dreamed about this. They said there would be many ways to earn them but I’ll keep my expectations in check until I actually see them.
How easy it’ll actually be to earn, how rewarding it feels and what we can actually get out of those (will they hand out legendaries for free again or is it just slop?) We’ll see.
Anyone else excited about this?

If just based on the trailer, it’s looking like watered down loot boxes. Fewer gained and only OW1 loot was shown.
Still, anything is better than nothing, a lot of people that joined up in OW2 likely don’t have much of the OW1 stuff.

I’m skeptical. When people say they wanted lootboxes back what they really wanted was a fair and generous system where you can earn skins and other in-game rewards. I just don’t trust Blizzard to implement a system like that.

I guess ideally they will wait 3 seasons before adding all of a season’s shop (and maybe Battlepass?) cosmetics into the loot pool.
Honestly I would be thrilled with that concept. Like with a little patience and dedication to get the special skins you want.
Just if they only include worthless Voicelines and Epics skins I would be very meh about it. But like Chief said, “anything is better than nothing”.
This 100%. The coin system and shop/BP could have worked. It was just implemented really poorly.
I just really hope they dont lock anything behind lootboxes only. I really dont want to gamble for skins again.

Well i wanna read the lootboxes instructions (what loot they have, only OW 1 or OW 2 too)
If its only OW 1 its a big ultra super meh
Yeah, it’s probably just for new players. This will only influence us if legacy credits finally mean something and I somewhat doubt that.

They give out for free then they gonna sell you rest when they take down the shop
