I literally completed the current available challenges, I got rewarded with 11 Lootboxes (10 of them from the 2 event challenges, 5 and 5), I opened them all at once and the counter then said I only opened 6. I kept playing and got awarded another extra Lootbox, after opening it the counter went up to 7. I guess one of the two challenges in the event is the issue, I’m missing exactly that amount of lootboxes.

The same thing happened to me, the loot boxes had a bug and it doesn’t count the total number of boxes I’ve already opened (10 of them from the 2 event challenges and 5 from the discord mission)
Blizzard but are you gonna do anything about this or I’m just “beta testing” your game here? I’m missing 5 lootboxes, I really hope you have the means to check that. Unless this was all intentional, could you do something about it (or at least give answers)?

There is a bug where some people (myself included) did not receive the lootbox rewards for the Discord quest (but they didn’t even show up ingame, and I tried inputting the redemption code a few more times on the client as well as site, and got the message it was redeemed already). Could this possibly be the issue for you as well?

I was opening loot boxes while queued and it pulled me into a game. When the game was over and i returned to the menu screen, it showed i had no items from the loot box i was opening. I did try to restart to see if it was glitched but it did not return. I also had opened 6/20 loot boxes before i had joined the game. Then when i returned with the glitched bug, it reset my boxes to 0/20
No, I didn’t have a problem with the Discord ones, and what I described has nothing to do with the Discord ones but with the first 10 from the game itself from the challenges. I had exactly the amount of boxes I described and the moment I opened them 5 of them were not counted as opened. That’s what happened. I have no means to know if they got opened or I’m missing even the items from them, what I’m sure about is that in the “total opened boxes” 5 of those were missing (again, from the 10 boxes given in the first week from challenges)

Yeah sorry about that misunderstanding. I hadn’t logged into the game yet to see that challenge, and the Discord quest issue has been weighing on my mind - I still haven’t gotten it resolved despite filing a ticket and having a back-and-forth with customer service representatives (though I’m pretty sure one of them was AI because there is no way an actual human would respond like that… also the first representative made at least 5 egregious spelling errors in their message, making them seem drunk).
With me, they said that my account received the lootboxes, but I know I didn’t. It doesn’t seem like they’re currently capable of resolving this or even recognizing it happening to an account. I’m saying all this because the same is likely going to be true for you, unfortunately. 
I really hope it works out though. It’s very disappointing that this has happened, and in multiple ways.

Oh you actually managed to contact them? I only found this forum as a mean to reach Blizzard. Could you possibly share how can I talk to them (or AI in case) [tbf I think even the reports are nowadays read by AI].
I’m sorry to hear they couldn’t help you, this is so weird too… I mean it’s their game, they should know that we aren’t lying, it’s an easy math for them… and yet.
