Loot boxes disappeared

Was opening lootboxes while queuing up, when my queue popped all my remaining lootboxes disappeared. I had 12 total (2 from playing the weekly challenge and 10 from the event) but now it shows i have none left while only having opened 8. Restarting my game didnt bring them back and neither did claiming an additional 5 from the discord quest. Hopefully its just a server thing and everything will be fine when i next launch the game but any insight is appreciated.

Same thing happened to me on Xbox and my sister on PlayStation. I lost one and she lost six.

Same thing happened to me as well. I had 5 extra loot boxes and in the middle of opening them my game crashed and when I opened it back up they all disappeared.

Just lost 10 with the same situation, queue popped and when i got out of the match it only counted 2 of the 12 i had ment to open, ps4 if it matters
this is a piss poor way to earn back good will to this sysyem on day one

The same thing happened to me on pc. I just lost one loot box when I opened it at the same time as the queue started.

I went to bed with 6 lootboxes in my inventory and when I woke up and logged back on they all vanished! They weren’t counted as opened either :frowning:

happened to me too. I had 6, including a legendary. All lost from the game queue and none of the items were recoverable. I even restarted my game twice.

Hello Blizzard team,

I am reporting a serious issue involving the disappearance of 61 event loot boxes I had saved from the current Overwatch 2 in-game event (April/May 2025).

On April 24th, 2025, I had 61 unopened loot boxes in my account. I always save them to open later with my nephew, as part of our tradition.

However, on April 24th, 2025, I logged in and noticed all boxes were gone — without having opened them, and without receiving any items or rewards. There were no Legendary unlocks, no notifications, and no indication of what happened.

This is not related to Overwatch 1 loot boxes. I am talking about the new loot boxes from the ongoing event, which had been saved intentionally and were visible in my account days before.

I have already contacted support (Ticket numbers: EU99376380, EU99375610, EU99394899), and the issue was acknowledged as part of a broader bug currently being investigated by the dev team. However, no resolution has been provided, and I am now following the recommendation to report this through the bug report forum.
