Can Blizzard please do something about dealing with leavers in competitive play. Its worse at the start of season but is a recurring problem where a player may leave 2 minutes into the match and the entire team will suffer for it. Alot of the time there isnt even a problem with the team, i’ve had it while winning and while loosing.
A possible resolution is to have the leaver have 5x the loss ranking and the rest of the team have no loss to rank. This will deter players from leaving and will also make those who remain not be punished.
You’re also gaining when people leave. Over a season it evens itself out. And as always, you’re more likely to have a leaver on the enemy team than yours.
Here he goes again with this nonsense…
Don’t you ever get tired of regurgitating the same nonsense over and over again?
We can literally not make one single post with negative feedback without you showing your ugly mug just to try and discredit and invalidate everything we have to say by injecting moot arguments and nonsense only you believe in because it fits your personal narrative.
Negative feedback is cool.
Illogical ranting should have context added.
In fairness, Wetwipe is spot on with his reply.
5x loss of rank would be equal to losing one division. Would you be happy to lose that if you had a DC / pc crash?
No loss of rank to teammates would bring in all sorts of issues. Everyone has leavers in their games roughly equally over time and so it all balances out.
But when you DC, you can rejoin the match.
Last time I dc’ed I was not able to rejoin
If that happened, and say I was trying to derank my account… A tactical alt f4 once or twice a season…
Can quickly see why any idea like that would be problematic.
I think people just get frustrated and don’t think through the bigger picture. It’s annoying now, but that’s it.
Yeah. But they could make the matchmaker keep track of leavers of 4 in 20 games and place them with each other.
It will still happen due to accidents, life, lightning. But it will be much less.
In my 8 years and 3 locations with different ISPs playing this game i would bet the times i left on purpose on two hands. I shouldnt play with the guy who leaves because they hate a map or disconnects because they dont play responsibly.
The two types of players are not the same. They belong in different areas.
Not sure there’s any benefit.
If they do it again, they’re banned for the season.
If they don’t, and there’s no issue anyways.
If it’s quick play. I don’t think theres an issue with someone map dodging. They’ll just have to accept what comes with that.
A quick map vote phase before the game would ease that a little in quick play.
Who cares QP? QP is for fun… sweaty people playing competitive in QP are interesting, They should compete in the mode that is for competing.
For the competitive mode. Leavers should play with other leavers. Someone who doesn’t leave… Should rarely see one. If we are going to use factors like ping for MM, how many times you DC in a relatively small measure of time should be one of those stats.
