Looking for gay / lgbt overwatch groups (discord as well)

Hey all, Sunshine here! Looking for fun gay/LGBT groups for Overwatch on Discord and could use some pointers around! I play mostly comp ranging from 1800 - 2800 SR usually. Also love chat and sharing strats/tips. I’m a pretty chill mid 30s gay geek/jock with a fitting sunny disposition - but def want a group more “mature” with a little sass (ie - not a teen group, lol). I’ll start a skeleton discord server below just in case for those interested that can turn into or merge with whatever. Don’t bother with dating solicitations, I’m saving myself for Lucio.

It has a lot to do with the fact that LGBT+ players are often bullied and harassed in game for their sexual orientation.

How would you know someones sexual orientation unless you tell them? And at that why are you talking about sexual orientation in game? Your point is moot.

Playing with people who are 100% fine with it and/or share the same sexual orientation prevents this. Why wouldn’t you want to be surrounded by people who treat you with respect?

What? What do you just go into every one of your games and say, “HEY GUYS I’M GAY, JUST TO LET YOU KNOW INCASE YOU WERE WONDERING!” ??? Like how in the world are they going to know your sexual orientation unless you fully express it and tell them?

While I understand where posts like this come from, I really wish they would stop. I want players to feel respected and comfortable but I hate that they feel like they have to play with others like them to get that.

I’ve seen a ‘Girls only’ thread and now essentially a gay/LGBT only one. I respect people regardless of gender or sexual preference and it’s unfortunate to see I might not get to play with some pretty cool people because they’re limiting their social circle. I’d like to see less “This type of people only” and more of “Looking for respectful players”.

What the heck does your sexual orientation have to do with Overwatch and finding other players?

Just because you don’t reveal yourself doesn’t mean there aren’t people using gay slurs over voice, and calling each other really homophobic/racist/sexist things. I love Overwatch and I love playing with all types of people, but If we didn’t feel like we needed it, we wouldn’t have to make these groups in the first place just so we don’t feel like rubbish mid-game…
