I’m bronze and haven’t been able to play comp for a week because I queue for up to an hour and still don’t get placed into a game. Has anyone experienced this or heard about it? I’ve struggled with long wait times almost since beginning comp but now it’s getting ridiculous. I’m so frustrated and I’m considering finding a different game, so if nobody has an answer to my problem at least recommend another game for me.

what region and platform are you playing on?
Also what game mode are you playing? QP? Comp role que / open que?
If you’re playing during off peak hours for your region that’s 1 factor… if you’re playing an unpopular game mode like open que that’s another factor… If you’re at an extreme end of the ranked pool (bronze 5) that’s another factor…
all those combined? Could be tough finding a match.
This is just me speculating and trying to find a reason for such a ridiculous que because you haven’t given enough info but one other thing to consider is when we swapped to OW2 they got rid of the SR number display that used to represent our ranks and replaced it with the tiers we have now… Bronze 5 is the lowest number OW2 can show you but in reality if they were being accurate there’s enough room in the SR system for there to be an entire two rank below bronze like a wood rank and a… idk rock rank lol. For example back in like 2016 when I did my first placements I was like 700 SR which by todays standards would be like rock 4, almost 1000 SR away from even scraping bronze.
basically what I’m saying is if you’re bronze 5 you can’t actually know how deep in the hole you actually are and so the pool of people you get to match with might be much lower than a ‘normal’ bronze 5.
and last factor to consider… with the new avoid feature where people can basically avoid as many people as they want you MIGHT be on a fair amount of peoples avoid list which could possibly increase your que times?
I’m just speculating though. 30+ minutes is crazy que times though I’m inclined to not even believe it lol.

This issue mainly happens to bronze rank
This is the issue they have not address from the start of ow 2
here is what you do.
you need to get someone that is higher rank to play on that account and get like 10-20 wins
or you can use a vpn to play on EU/ASIA/Na servers. and you might get matches
once you do that you will start getting matches…
i just used a vpn to play on EU to get games. and that fixed my issue

I placed into bronze 4, I play roll queue comp as a support. I’ve played maybe 20 comp games? Only started a few months ago. Its interesting that you explained that rank system, it gets me thinking, I wonder if since I got on a lose streak (despite playing well enough myself) and went further down in bronze four, if thats my problem.
Once I started looking through reddit and realised I might be the only person experiencing these excessive queues I came here because blizzard doesn’t have a support page that helps. After hearing what yourself and the other has had to say, I’m starting to feel that this is a more isolated incident.
Honestly made an alt account and I’m going to start from the bottom and try to rank again. Hopefully even just bronze 3 would help.
in bronze esp, your teammates are not helpful at all.
you have to carry them.
you can also try duo-ing so u can get games.
This issue is not isolated. it happns when you have a -SR ( like you mentioned u are on a lose streak) the devs have not addressed this nor they even care. i guess bronze players means nothing to them
