Hello! I’ve played Overwatch for a while now, and recently I found out about a technique with Mercy where if you press shift and ctrl at the same time, you can launch yourself high. This isn’t particularly difficult to do for most people, but it can cause pain trying to perform this multiple times in a match for me due to a joint condition.
To help remedy this, I tested out in a practice match a macro using the Logitech software. This simply presses shift and ctrl for me at the same time to perform this technique easier without straining myself. I wanted to know if this macro, being carried out by Logitech, was allowed or not. If it is not, I will not use it again and will delete it immediately.
One of the OWL teams, London Spitfire, is sponsored by Logitech so I’m unsure as to whether the software they are adding to their products is allowed in Overwatch. If it was AutoHotKey or something I’d understand, but I think this area is vague due to it being marketed as gaming software.
Regardless, if it turns out that the Logitech software is not allowed, I will delete it immediately and not use it again.
EDIT: I have since deleted the macro, as I have read from various sources that macros are frowned upon by Blizzard. I will not use it again unless it is explicitly stated that the Logitech gaming software is allowed in Overwatch.
