Little spaced Crosshair or a more open spaced cross?

EDIT:
I have changed my CrossHair from the cross that looks like a “+” but with a little hole in the middle to a crosshair that had bigger spacing, looks very similar to Gale’s crosshair but with green color and longer lines. So the important part is that I experienced MUCH better accuracy while playing. My accuracy wish Ashe went from around 30-40% to 40-50%! I was easily able to land shots on any enemy even a flying pharah and was able to easily destroy a pharmercy combo

I mainly play hitscan heroes and like the cross crosshair, but I have been puzzled about which settings are good for it. What are the pros and cons of using the following crosshairs:

Like a Plus + but with a little space in the middle and no dot. Example from Dafran Dafran Insane Zarya 81% Average Energy! - Overwatch - YouTube

Or a little more spaced one Example from Gale - YouTube

I am using dot  i guess small crosshair with space in the middle is good so you see enemy heroes heads in the middle.

I have used dot before, but I found it hard to headshot with as it just obstructed the target xD

I will try the crosshair with spaced then =]

I use dot crosshairs and + crosshairs with really, really small space in between.

Forgot to ask which heroes do you mainly play? Hitscan, projectile and etc?

For more precision heroes; McCree, Widow, ect. then the tiny almost dot like cross hair is my preference.

Tracking heroes, Solider, Bastion, Orisa.
Then a nice sized one usually works better.

All heroes but i have to say that i use small circle for tracer and bigger for road+reaper. But hobestly i sonetimes use even crosshair with space in middle, it depends on the mood

I’m a Tracer main and play a lot of McCree and S76.

Use what distracts you less.

That is interesting! Isn’t it easier for “muscle memory” if you have the same crosshair across all heroes?

Oooh, so heroes with spray get a circle so you can see how big the spread is?

Same crosshair across all of them?

I changed mine similar to Gale’s but a little longer and green color, its working AMAZING!

Basicly, I think it helps me to see range of my projectiles spread.

Ahhh, I see. That is neat

Turn it off, I bet you will be surprised at how much you don’t need the crosshair. Just center the target.
Not to say that I play without a crosshair all the time, but it is very doable. Something our brains get good at.

True, I also play Sea of Thieves and you don’t have crosshairs over there. My monitor has a crosshair option but it just felt wrong. Sure it helped but also made me focus on it too much.

It’s all still personal preference at the end of the day.

But if someone was struggling to land consistently with a certain hero/weapon style.
Then using a cross hair that suits that style could help.

I prefer a dot honestly.

I use dot + crosshair.

Dot for aim, semi transparent crosshair to quicky find the dot lol
