Moira. Every single game has one of them, and I mean every. single. game. Its getting tiring being rolled by someone who has the simple cognitive ability to hold right click and then get top damage and healing of most games

yeah…moira has been a staple in most games for a long time now. best thing to do is just focus fire her whenever you see her. keep her on the defensive, preferably at the spawn point.

Should also mention that in metal ranks the team that is losing will switch to the lower skill heroes. First is usually orisa, then bastion (or other way around). Moira always there and usually zen. Other dps will go reaper or junk or mei. That team will almost always win if they switch early enough.

Moira is most often played in metal rank ever since she was released due to ease of play. Some even rank up due to her.

Players forget it so fast. Just last season there is endless topic about Kirko, Suzu, Nade, Lamp. Now it’s just Moira. How they hate such characters.

The players you mentioned have to aim. Moira does not. No death you suffer at the hands of Moira feels like she earned it, ever. And that’s because she didn’t. People will never accept this character as anything other than the ludicrous handout to low skill players that she was designed to be, nor should they.

As a Moira main I feel like it’s Doomfist and Roadhog in every single game.

People aren’t complaining about her ease of use, people are complaining because she’s meta.
I mean, Sombra can virus many heroes without even being on their hitboxes. Genji can DBlade people offscreen. OW is the most aim-forgiving FPS there is, especially after s9 patch. The fact that Moira is meta has nothing to do with skill or ease of use, it’s because it’s a trash meta and she’s one of a few that can bring anything to the table.

What are you playing? I’m curious where this is the case. In QP I play hog or zarya. But when I play hog I almost never see another hog - maybe 1 in 20 games at most. I played comp at the weekend and didn’t see hog once.
Doomfist is a bit of a scurge of QP. He has been for months, but I’d much rather face him than the snooze-fest that is Orisa or the noise-machine that is Mauga. I never saw a single doom in comp either.
Moira does have to aim though.
It isn’t lock on, it’s a beam. A large beam, but you can still miss some damage, especially against moving targets.

Moira was doing well in metal ranks even before Season 9 released. I found her to be the most common Support character outside Mercy and Ana at the time. If I ever encountered smurfs or cheaters then they’d be on Kiriko, Baptiste, Illari, etc. Why are people complaining about Moira now? Probably because when all the numbers shifted from recent patch she is doing better than the others for less effort.

she always had the same hate because of the effort. nothing changed on the hate, only she got played more due to other supports suddenly dying.

They only slightly buffed her DPS by 0.2 seconds. So Instead of killing you in 4 seconds, she kills you in 3.8. if you die to a Moira as a DPS it’s a skill issue as she’s literally the same Moira as s8, just with more HP.

Moira has to look in a general direction. That’s not aim. Aim is aim.
The damage orb is also not aim.
No part of Moira is aiming, no matter how often people who play her claim otherwise.

Moira actually has to aim.
But instead of a dot, it’s a cylinder shaped circle in the middle of the screen.
There is YouTube videos showing it. Stop with the misinformation. If that cylinder isn’t on someone, no succ happens. It’s just a forgiving size, so forgiving that you’d have to be a grade A noob to miss on Moira succ
