I already made a post about this but no one replied and im desperate. This is literally the only game i play so im praying to god someone will be able to help me. Recently like a day ago my ping jumped from 80 to 200 in games, I live in Asia but i play on the American server. When i was getting 80 ping im thinking its when i was connected to South EAst asia, but now its 200 ping and above, using Ctrl+Shift+N i found out that i was being connected to pse1 and lax1, i know lax1 is the NA server so thats why its lagging. There was a time when me and my friend were grouping up in quickplay, sitting next to each other and using the same internet, my friend was having 80 ping while mine was 200. There were a bunch of topics like this in the past but no seems to care about them, i really want to play the game but with this ping i just dont have any motivation. (Even on the asia server i still get 180 ping instead of the normal 60)
So I live in the US, and it’s connecting me to Brazilian and Australian servers for some reason. The game has been literally unplayable for two days now.
Ye its frustrating, sometimes it will put me back to 80 ping, sometimes its either 130 or 240. Today me and 2 of my friends were grouping up together in qp, in each game, one person would have 80, the other one would have 140 and the last one would have 240, it literally cycles around 3 of us. Good to know im not the only one experiencing this
same issue here. press Ctrl+Shift+N and look at the letters in parentheses, they will tell you what server you are connected to. i live on west coast USA and am being connected to Singapore (pse1). really sucks.
LonelyTony try playing without the kill feed turned on, I saw on another thread that it’s the kill feed that is bugged right now.
I tested it myself in quick play for 6 games and didn’t have any mayor issues with the game, it run smoothly (about 99% of the time).

When you first sign onto the game, the client takes the time to ping for the best possible set of servers to pair you into. So if your normal servers are not being selected, there is a chance there is some direct connection cut between you and those servers. A WinMTR test testing to specific servers can help pinpoint issues:
WinMTR instructions:
- Download WinMTR from http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/ (Console players need a Windows Desktop Computer connected to the same network as their console to do this.)
- Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop.
- Open the WinMTR folder and select the 32 or 64 bit version. Choose whichever one corresponds to your version of Windows.
- Run the WinMTR.exe
- Type the IP address you want to trace in the “Host” field. To get the correct IP you will actually need to open up the game and go Practice Vs AI or Quick Play and if you are on PC hit Ctrl+Shift+N and it will bring up the ingame network diagnostic graph, or go to Video > Options > Display Network Performance Graph if you are on any platform including Console. In the top left corner is the IP address you want to run WinMTR to.
note When looking at the IP it will show up ingame as something like 12.34.56.78:12345. You will want to leave the last 5 digits and the colon at the end off and the IP you want to use is just the 12.34.56.78 - Once you notice the connection issue while playing, play for about 6 more minutes, minimize the game and click on “Stop”.
- Click on “Copy text to clipboard”, then return to this forum thread.
- Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:

If in the event you can’t even connect to Overwatch and get into any game mode at all, please use one of the following IP addresses based on your geographical region:
- US West - 24.105.30.129
- US Central - 24.105.62.129
- Brazil - 54.207.107.12
- Europe - 185.60.114.159
- Europe - 185.60.112.157
- Korea - 211.234.110.1
- Taiwan - 203.66.81.98
I think this issue needs more attention.
i’ve been having the same issues since about a week or so my ping went up with about 50ms since i play on US servers from the eu i am used to about 120ms ping
but uts up to 170ms+ now i went trough all the channels already and what i’ve found out myself is that i’m being routed trough CA USA and that just doesnt make sense but blizzard is refusing to take any responsibility here since i know that its not just me and i’ve seen it more and more on the forums so i hope that there will at least be an official response on this topic and that they at least acknowledge the issue
Blizzard does not directly control your connection route, however if you follow the instructions I have listed above, they can maybe see if there is a network hub they can report to the appropriate people to fix the issue.
I live in Cn east and im being put into lax1 and pse1 over and over again. The game is literally unplayable for me since I already have a base of 80 ms due to geography. Please do something, Ive tried dns flush and nothing happened.

Copyleft @2000-2002 Vasile Laurentiu Stanimir ( stanimir@cr.nivis.com )**~~~~I’m having the same issue and I’ve noticed this may be going on for a year, i play on Xbox in the UK and so does my brother who lives in the same house and has his own Xbox, I’m only connecting to the Australian servers when on overwatch however no one else of my friends are, I’m confused on how to fix this as my brother is using the same WiFi but not experiencing the same issues
- I’ve tested with other games and it’s only overwatch with this issue
- I’ve dropped 150 sr due to this issue
I’m also starved of my favourite game
Please help fix this
