PSA- CC means that an ability (or weapon) causes you to lose control of your hero for a moment (all forms of CC also have scenarios where they can get environmental kills)

Would actually be okay-er to have more diverse CCs…I mean it mostly resolves around stun(sleep’s almost the same as stun besides the name and the character’s stance), sent flying somewhere, disabled, poison.

I mean it’s an action shooter with moba elements made by guys who worked on a record-breaking mmorpg.
There are surely interesting cc in there, I don’t know, ones we removed(bleed), burn, being slowed down(Sym’s turrets’ slow is almost ignored now btw), fear(can’t control your character for a bit and he just runs away), how about also things like reduced healing, reduce this and that. So many things to have, so little used.

Oh and getting someone with actual fire abilities would make Mei melt. Joke aside, would be nice that it can affect her skills a bit(not completely), but it could make part of her wall collapse so that there’s a window for shooting, it could shorten her time in cryo or the healing effect of it, maybe help teamates not being frozen…

Thank you, now people can’t complain about too much CC since most of these have been here since launch.

They’ll still complain though.

The way you write, you make it seem like CC is a bad thing by default which would be silly.

And it’s falling into the league trap, constantly adding CC.

Sure, it works better for MOBA-type games and maybe some RPGs, but in an FPS it’s terrible to have that much.

now lets list the abilities that resist CC.
Orisa: Fortify, also takes less knockback while shooting due to slow down affect from firing. (confirmed to be a bug by dev team like a year ago, never got fixed.
D.va: takes less knockback while shooting due to slow down affect from firing. seemingly ignores all stunless CC while using boosters. (I honestly feel like I haven’t been able to properly CC a d.va in about 6 seasons.
Mei: Cryofreeze
bastion: sentry form still gets stunned but cannot be moved unless with orisa’s halt.

I THINK the point is that ppl are complaining about CC all of sudden (Brig, doomfist, etc) and OP is pointing out that the game has had an abundance of CC from the beginning.

At least this is what im getting from it lol
