i mean china just went finders keepers forced the Dali Lama to go into excile and even instituted a law that your not allowed to reincarnate without permision for the state… then they just created their own Panchen Lama who basically identifies the next Dali Lama…
then the Dali Lama just rage quit and decided not to reincarnate just to mess with china…
Admittedly Nepal is China’s Water hose and china does have a bit of paranoia that India may have annexed it if they didn’t and if they did that they could basically shut down china’s agriculture and starve them out…
But it is hilarious how far they go to try to justify their annexation rather then just state the practical geo-political implications of allowing a independent with a insufficient military to control a resource that if denied poses and existential threat to them…
I could totally understand necessary evils and such… but they cant help insisting that the sky is purple with poka dots right to everyone faces just because…
Like China is totally stuck on being Orwellian as hell… even when they clearly don’t need to… China is absurd…
Now they are busy moving Chinese nationals into Nepal to settle there to basically replace the natives over time and just cement their claim… (which i suppose makes sense at least in a practical geo-political sense)
