I noticed the crashes happening since about a week now, I don’t know if I’m the only one though?
The odd thing is, it doesn’t fully crash, the game is still playing, I’m still in the game, people can still see me moving even, however the screen completely freezes and after a small bit more it will fully freeze.
If I try to tab out or close the game by any means, the screen goes black however the overwatch-style cursor remains visible.
P.S. I concluded it was Ana as I realised all the games this happened in, involved ana. Most were in quick play games, and 2 of them were in custom games very recently on PTR. 1 of them was a Echo myth busting game and someone went ana to test something, the moment I heard her gun, game froze.
The second time was just now, in a Cookie Clicker style custom game, the moment I reached the ana boss and the moment she shot me, the game froze, not a second before or after.
P.P.S: Once it freezes like this, I have no way of exiting the game or returning to my OS, the only way out is DEATH by reboot (or logout) via CTRL+ALT+DEL
My System:
Arch Linux, fully up to date every single package that includes NVIDIA drivers, wine packages.
EDIT 3:
It’s definitely Ana, and it’s definitely caused by here SCOPED IN left click, it has to be scoped in. After doing it twice, I noticed a Red ! flash up for a second or two above Ana’s head. I had no way to screenshot or anything cause system was acting up over the crash.
EDIT 4:
I logged lutris and from that wine, via lutris -d
, it seems to have network errors, and issues with VK (Vulkan?) and maybe d3d11texture2d (unknown queries or such).
EDIT 5:
This hasn’t occurred in the last week, I think it was a bug with Wine or Lutris.
