His ult is terrible. Its complete garbage. It’s not even instant , it has a cast time. There are so many things wrong with this ultimate. It’s a good concept but its application is lacking.
Why does it only boost certain characters? Why is the Matrix so small? Why is it only 6 seconds? Why is it a square and not a maybe a dome or a sphere? I could see it being so inflexible if it charges quickly but it doesn’t. His ultimate is worthless, it doesn’t protect your team and it doesn’t enable them. The enemy moves 2 steps to the right and wammo the ult is useless.
There is a lot that you could do to make it better. It could be more of a zoning and protective ult.

Any projectiles or hitscan shot by the enemy that passes through the matrix is nullified and vanishes like what Defense Matrix does.
That’s it. A defensive matrix that amplifies damage. It’s still rigid and unmovable but zones the opponent and has the ability to save your team from certain ults or abilities.

Nah, beam and melee characters cannot use it. At least not effectively. I suppose Zarya and Sym can alt fire. Moira can throw her orb (but it only procs faster, or does not deal more damage).
I think you underestimate the power of a firestrike that can kill the whole team.

Teamfights get decided in a few seconds most of the Time so this Ult should be good if you actualy have a comp that can make use of it (burstdmg)
It is funny because that is realistically one of the only moderately decent uses of the ultimate. Either that, or put it in front of a Bastion or Widow. Rofl.
I would rather literally anything else. A cool-down reset ability would be sick. You could pop your drone, it dies, pop ult, pop drone. Lul.

Not sure what game you are playing, but even if that were true, people would just disengage (or approach from the sides) and you have a standard team fight afterwards. The game is so fast paced that having a click to confirm ultimate makes it too clunky. If you just want to plop it down and get a quick pick, they already changed positions by time you confirmed it.

But it works both ways, i mean, i just try and shoot through it every time, its like shield dancing, but if you can shoot through it its better.
I killed a reaper and was left with almost full health while playing orisa thanks to the ultimate. sure, its VERY situational, but that doesnt mean its bad, just that you gotta find a way to work around it.

Good thing goats does not get use out of his ultimate. Because surely a burst aoe healer with immortality would never be used in that composition. No.
In all seriousness, the only comp that makes use of it is Sombra, no, scratch that, EMP bait.
I mean, honestly…goats is all about waiting for a mistake i think, and…well baptiste doesnt work with tanks…he works with dps
Huh? Nah, he is a tank healer. And exactly, immortality mitigates a mistake. I was mostly joking that the developers made a blatant goats character but made his ultimate not pair with them to try and encourage him to be used with counter goats comps; however, his ultimate is so bad that nobody will hold that against him and run him in goats regardless.
I could see QoL buffs but the actual effect is good and cool.
Not for a long time. He is not going to be in stage 2 of OWL and by then, I am 99% sure he is getting buffed. This would be the first time a support was a throw pick. So I expect it will be addressed shortly. But yeah, I am not clairvoyant. Common sense has netted me plenty of correct predictions nevertheless and he is BAD. I have no idea what koolaid people are drinking and for once, I do NOT want any of it.

The concept is good, it’s the application that is lacking. It’s an underpowered ult for its charge time. Really hoping they do something to improve it because in a team fight it’s near useless.
