Lifeweavers Controls

First, I really like the diversity and utility in all the heros.

But the controls in Lifeweaver’s kit, is a little out of hand. I usually really like the decisions the designers make, but there need to be some affordances. These are the changes that I would make or options that I would enable to bring him inline with the rest of the hero’s abilities.

PC Controls
Primary Heal - Left Click
Primary Dmg - Right Click
Double space - Dash/Quick Heal
Shift - Flower Elevator
E - Grasp/Pull Back

Switching between healing and firing is only in Mercy’s kit. Having a modal switch between damage and healing really constrains the hero’s ability to be effective in moment to moment play. The charge mechanic for healing is already tough enough, but that is ok with his abilities. You are definitely not a main healer and it’s already super hard to heal one hero.
Dash to double space bring him inline with Hanzo. It doesn’t need to be an activity ability since the dash/heal is so small. I personally do not think that it is special enough to a seperate hotkey.
And the other two abilities would then be comparable to the other hero’s abilities. They would be on the two interact keys.

Like I said, I really like the stuff that the team comes up with, but for a healer, this guy is hard to play.

Try this out, the button layout in [__].

I can live with the dash on shift, and I can remap most of the rest, but I just do not agree with having to manually swap heal/damage. It’s so clunky.

He should follow the established pattern set with Moira and Kiriko of healing with one hand (one button) and damage with the other (second button). If they don’t want two hands in the mix, then still use two buttons and just keep the same hand flip animation.

I thought I made it clear that I didn’t want to swap between dmg and heals.

You would have to swap to heal or damage for this hero as this hero requires you to swap weapons to either heal or damage.
