Lies from Blizzard Regarding Collab Skins

When Junkrat’s skin for Le Sserafim collab was out they considered it a “legendary skin” we could get for free yet all that was different on that skin was the colours on the default OW2 skin, the hair and the hat.

In today’s trailer of Cowboy Bebop collab it has been shown that we will be getting once again…a “legendary skin” for Wrecking Ball but all that changes there is once again the colours of its basic default OW2 skin.

On the collab skin for One Punch man, the skin we got for free was just a recolour of the Kamen Rider skin that was already in a previous battle pass. Still considered legendary but barely any effort was putted there.

Various items in the shop are also considered legendary yet they are just recolours like that Mime skin of Moira.

Blizzard please, we are not stupid.

well at least its…something? I mean i’m not surprised but yeah

honestly since “epic” skins are now worth $15, the categories have lost all meaning to me anyway

If you think that they will give away one of the amazing skins for free and not just a glorified epic skin, than thats your fault.

Honestly this is fine. But just call it an epic skin. We just want honesty here. Truth in advertising.

It has been the trend since OW2. The only “free” skins have been only epics.

Look at cyber medic ana. It’s an epic skin but looks more legendary than all OW2 free event legendaries

So you are not target audience, no big deal, there’s 10 people that will rush and buy.

You forgot the infamous 1 coin “legendary” Gingerbread Bastion skin.

It’s now at 1900 coins but still…

EDIT: Also the One Punch Man Terrible Tornado Kiriko skin, that skin is a huge lazy meme of a “legendary” skin.

Honestly going out of your way to make the worst possible thing to give away for free is kind of worse than just making nothing for free

Everything Blizzard do is lie. This game is not better than OW1 in terms of content and skins, is much worse.

Rarities for skins are worthless now, everyone gets the same skins the same way. So the rarity is arbitrary and literally means nothing.

I second this, I haven’t spent money in overwatch since the Watch point pack. But you better believe I’m getting the entire bundle. I’m not even that big of a fan of cowboy bebop. But the level of detail the devs put into those sombra, Ash, and Mauga skins! Honestly if this was another terrible shot at the bad Genos Genji skin, I would’ve passed yet again. But I have to give credit where credit is due. If credit means $50, then sign me up. I do hope the money I’m giving, helps bring more rank updates and changes to further competitive play. But if I’ve learned anything in these 7 years of Overwatch, these devs more than often don’t have a clue what’s going on.

They believe you’re stupid because you keep logging in and giving them playtime metrics whilst probably buying skins and battle passes. If you don’t want to appear stupid to them, don’t buy anything or play the game.

Do you truly think they care otherwise?

Blizzard stated many many years ago that the way they defined the skin rarity was pretty arbitrary and didn’t follow any specific guidelines. In this case the legendary status is likely tied to it’s time exclusivity, not the number of model/texture changes required.

It’s a free skin, why does it matter what rarity they consider it?

free skins used to slap back in the good ol days

Baset ana
Lego bastion
Frosty roadhog

Each of them were just epics(maybe not Lego bastion), but were all way better than any other skin ow2 has released.
