I think Iām doing the same. I donāt have a lot of hope to begin with so Iām expecting the minimum. I want to know who our next gay character is but apparently thatās already too much for a fan to ask.

The next hero will likely be a male human seeing as how 5/7 of the heroes added post-launch have been female and the last hero was a hamster.
A lot of beef of extremely narrow kind, though. And sometimes itād nice to get men without so much beef. Iām sorry but I have yet to be pandered to so release those damn men who arenāt over 35 and/or who arenāt generically masculine aggressive/annoyed loud/stoic macho soldiers thank you.
Sanjay could easily expand on Symmetra, Vishkar, Talonās lore.

Yeah but waifunutters arenāt rooting for him, and he doesnāt have the āā coolness āā factor of Doomfist or Max. I digress but this year has been nothing but heroes that pre-existed in the lore and whoāve had some sort of a following. If itās Junker Queen next, they better release nothing but new (hot dude) characters next year that we havenāt heard about.
I want the surprise of THE HECK IS THIS HERO.

Like Moira! She was such a welcome surprise. Tbh the only characters I want that are already in the lore are Sanjay and Max. Iād much prefer an out-of-left-field new character.

Iād like a Finnish character. Sadly I donāt think weāll get one since the whole entirety of nordic countries are represented through Sweden (as per usualā¦), which we have two heroes from already. Goddammit.

I feel like the heroes that were introduced into the game out of the blue (as opposed to the heroes that were crammed in by popular demand) are generally better received.
Ana, Orisa, Moira vs. Sombra, Doomfist, Brig.
I hoped this might be a pattern, but Hammond broke it.
We had Ana, then Sombra. Orisa, then Doomfist. Moira, then Brig. Then Hammond. So from out of the blue to known heroes, except Brig and Hammond were two known heroes back to back. We can at least hope weāre in for an unknown hero now since last two were known, but that would throw all the theories out the window (and would eliminate Sanjay and potential Sym/Lucio lore short).
It would also eliminate Junker Queen though. It just feels like we might be due for another hero that isnāt a popularly demanded one.

I sincerely think Hammond was just spit out in order for Blizz to have some cute mascot merch, and nothing more. Heās unimportant to the lore and all character interactions. His āfriendshipā with Winston was just an easy tie in for another animal character. I donāt count Hammond as part of the real lore. ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ

he was a missed opportunity. he couldve been the one behind the moon baseās downfall, a villain, an actual relevant plot point and even secretly running talonā¦but nopeā¦cute hamster best friend junker.
