I gave it a bit since the mods have historically manually unlocked the thread after it hit reply cap, but that’s okay; we can start over with a clean thread during pride month :massage_woman:

This is a topic to consolidate story discussion re: LGBT representation in Overwatch :transgender_flag: :rainbow_flag:

Since the last thread, I am delighted to provide the current list of LGBT representation in Overwatch:

  • Tracer is canonically lesbian (and is in a relationship with a civilian, Emily)

  • Soldier: 76 is canonically gay (and was formerly in a relationship with a civilian, Vincent)

  • Pharah is canonically lesbian

  • Baptiste is canonically bisexual

  • Lifeweaver is canonically pansexual

  • Venture is canonically trans non-binary

I think it’s been really interesting to see how Blizzard stepped it up (so to speak) since the last thread I made. I’ll be taking the pan lifeweaver skin whenever you want to give it to me blizzard thanks!!!

Glad there’s a new thread up, I was wondering if the mods were ever going to unlock the old thread again considering it was obviously well over the post limit and had been unlocked before.

with how lazy character development is i’m honestly not excited for anything related to this kind of subject, we never gonna get anything special like tracer again. Now a days i’m just dreading what name they are gonna pull out of the sexuality hat.

On Friday, I heard a charming pre-game conversation between Lifeweaver and Baptise. Both of them flirting confidently with each other. I think they’d make a great couple!

yeah they flirt a lot relatively speaking. I can definitely see that ship happening.
the new skins for the season got revealed and along with the usual suspects getting skins (kiriko, genji, echo) Reaper is the mythic. Theme seems to be Egyptian mythology and Reaper is Anubis. The skin looks great but tbh I dont feel too enthusiastic about this season’s skins otherwise. Horus Cassidy? Ra soldier 76? Set Rammattra? I feel like theyre missing opportunities by focusing on the same heroes every season.

They definitely know which hero selll skins and which don’t.

An Anubis theme, when the hero is from space… like, they couldn’t have done that with Venture? Every theme seems out of touch with the hero release, or season ( monster hunter theme for Christmass season? REALLY???) … Guess that’s what happen when they (the higher ups, not T4) care more about the money they can make instead of how great they could make the game and the hype surrounding seasons and heroes…

I thought Moira and Reaper would’ve been hinted at being lgbt characters to some degree by now.

The new tank looks like fun, especially for those of us in role queue who get stuck as tank most of the time. I wonder what else they have in store for us.

I like Hazard a lot (can’t speak on gameplay; haven’t tried him yet). The VA is excellent, and I really dig his big brotherly vibe. People are saying he’s just like mauga blah blah blah, but I don’t see it.

I invested very early into LifeHazard stocks and I’m already seeing dividends. :point_up:

Here is our first hero in a relationship with an omnic - and that make him the third hero in an active relationship (after Torbjorn and Tracer)

I managed to get a few games with him somehow and I have to say he’s fun to play, very versatile, a great change for tank role players. I dont get a lot of the hate for his design, especially those complaining he’s too fanservice-y. considering some other hero designs it just seems incredibly hypocritical to complain about Hazard’s design being that way.

Widowmaker has been in the game since day one; as long as that’s true, I’m not hearing any flak from people about how fanservice a design is :sob:

Juno could be pansexual due to growing up on Mars. Unless everyone on that colony was homophobic, she probably doesn’t know that being gay is a hot topic is society. Also, there is something going on with Moira. What that is? I am unsure. All I know is that she is in the community.
