Now that pride month is right around the corner, It’d be nice to celebrate it even in game.
Blizzard could accomplish that by adding an in game event (with LGBT skins/Sprays etc) or a new map embodying à lgbt parade.
All this would lead to having even more fun during the best month of the year and, obviously, increase LGBT awereness.

They could just change the payload and make it a LGBT parade float, too.
not sure there would be a new map (because map development in OW1 is has pretty much halted)
if they do an lgbtq+ event i could see there being a skin, or a few and/or a payload edit.

Blizz only makes real world events for things that are celebrated by the majority of the planet/ very accessible for all like Lunar New Year/Olympics (summer games)/Halloween/Christmas, that’s it
There’s a reason they don’t make smaller things like 4th of July Event, Cinco De Mayo event, Veterans Day event, LGBT Pride event, Black History month event etc

^ Pretty much this. The only outlier I can think of is the Mardi Gras event (for the confused Australians out there, Mardi Gras isn’t a pride festival in other countries - I had to learn that, too), but that really just went as far as a skin. Plus I don’t think there’s anything controversial about the Mardi Gras festival.
Whereas with this, it could be taken as a political stunt, and we all know how much Blizzard tries to stay out of that pond. Remember Hong Kong?
I’m too advanced for this sort of thing. To me, this is like celebrating that the grass is green.
However, if humanity hasn’t quite reached my level of transcendence yet then by all means go ahead and shove this stuff down each others throats. I’ll be waiting up here on my cloud of awesome intellectual superiority with Crom. Crom laughs at your need for flags. He laughs from his mountain!

What I’d really like to see is an Indonesian map. Indonesia is huge and it’s absolutely beautiful. Like, a map in Bali would be 
I’ve thought about it a lot, you could have a section along a beach and then it goes into the side of a cliff and through an underwater aquarium area where there’s exotic fish swimming above your head.
