There are discords that make it very easy to find people to queue with
I tried with Discords. Such channels are filled with smurfs and abusers levelling up alternate accounts just so they can abuse the game even more, while being part of a group with “friends” or honest players to not be targeted by reports and bans.
Overwatch 2 is built on solo play. It is not built on premade teams with synergy and coordination, because such teams would discourage new potential whales with money or big bank accounts. Many players nowadays prefer to play solo, yet in a team to not feel lonely (but this is completely different discussion entirely).
Won’t lie. As much as I prefer OW2 gameplay wise, I do miss the LFG in OW1 as I met some real cool peeps from all over the place. NA, EU… Ever since it went F2P it’s just not worth it, the toxicity is through the roof and the person you duo with who seems cool at first, can turn out to be an absolute douchebag to other people so you have to unfriend them. Speaking from experience. Thought they were cool, turned out to be an absolute racist a*****.
Like someone above said, Discord or try Reddit as well. For example, I’m subbed to Jay3 and in his discord his server has an LFG. Or if you know someone IRL etc, partner with them. They’re your best options. Going F2P has made teaming up with a proper human or someone who wants to try to play the game for what it is a very tricky task.
It’s a shame as OW2 has become like WoW-you spend more time playing solo when they say they want to improve on the social aspects.
IMO LFG needs to be brought back with LFG Q.
I think the community would benefit from it.

This is not true at all
I have 2 friends I’ve known most of my life because of typing to people on Runescape. I’m the most anti-social person you could meet (I have autism) it was very hard to make friends, but I also have another 2 close friends I met on Team Fortress 2 (from just typing)
Most LFG groups you’ll play with 1 time and you won’t play with them again and most people you add in game will talk to you once and never again (whether it’s normal gameplay or LFG - it’s common and happens ALL the time otherwise these people would have TONS of friends if LFG really worked) And the friends I made on Overwatch, I didn’t find them via LFG, I found them just from playing the game and also talking on Overwatch related discords (or even these forums)
Or, you can take a chill pill and actually do your research and find out what happened.
But sure, keep throwing random insults and remaining ignorant about the Developer’s reasons for removing it. You do you bud.
It’s so awkward jsut adding people randomly after games too. I’m so tired of solo queuing and I want to play w people but it jjst feels so random to send a friend request nowadays lol
