When is LFG and the honor system coming out I’m dying to use it. It’s impossible to climb without getting people who can’t fulfill their role. I’m fine if you instalock sym or torb or whatever as long as you play your role, but there are way too many that just do not do it and if I call them out oh I’m toxic. I’m tired of healing suicidal people that can’t do their job.

I’m excited for the LFG but it’s also gonna bring about an even bigger divide in the community because one tricks will obviously not very likely be accepted into the groups once they are proven to not be able to fill roles effectively or refuse to swap off.

This is why we need an LFP (Looking for Player)
it would be a giant list of all the people browsing the LFG. That way group leaders can invite players, not just kick.
You’d have to have something in your profile that communicated which heroes you are willing to play, and not just time played.

I agree that does sound really useful. I think you should be able to show your average stats in your quick view profile that says more than hours played. If someone is looking for a rein and someone has 90 hours on him but is only aggressive and hardly shields that is not a rein I would be happy to have on my team. But if I could show my average damage blocked that would comfort me in knowing that person has a grasp on how to use him effectively.
The devs refuse to make useful information public and want everyone to have fun. News flash comp is for pushing your limits and building a solid team to better your chances for winning. Not for someone to go troll around on widow trying to learn her or instalocking a hero that is not yielding any results.
Hopefully LFG cleans up comp and they add more features to it to help filter hero’s that you want to pick up vs just someone specializing in a class.

Well put. I think the ultimate answer is a different SR for each hero. It wouldn’t have any impact on game, it would just communicate how effective you are with each hero.
Or it could have in game effects. Imagine if you couldn’t pick a hero unless you were within 1000SR of the group average. But Blizz would never give us the QoL features we need to play this game intelligently.
Tbh 1 tricks should just learn how to play the counter to their counter. In my elo often times it’s just a her like 76 or more that can shoot down pharah. Unless they’re already playing as hanzo and getting killed by her…then idk what to say
I don’t feel bad for the one tricks at all. You paid for a game and only play 1 hero out of 27 and you go to comp and people get mad you don’t bring anything to the table? That’s on them.

It absolutely must be released before the start of next Competitive season.
Competitive has become a joke of a game mode, and LFG is desperately needed in order to turn it around.
Only selfish, toxic people like you will deny someone wanting to play the hero they’re best at.
I’ll gladly accept one tricks into my groups as I’d much rather people play the hero they’re best at than be selfishly peer pressured into switching to a hero they’re not very good with.

So I am playing a game as intended and widen my ability as a player and not joining comp when I don’t feel my abilities are up to par? Man I’m pretty toxic.
Its life and it happens. People in overwatch all have access to the same hero’s and don’t have to pay and some refuse to learn more than one and that puts them at a disadvantage in a team based game built around diversity.

It only happens because of people like you judging/hating others for their hero choice because it doesn’t conform to your narrow-minded, selfish opinions.
Selfish is when you’re not willing to help a team and admit hey I’m not befitting my team right now on this particular hero I should swap off and try to help my team.
I love how you think I’m this toxic person based off my stance on someone not being able/refusing to stay on a hero despite their hinderance to the team.
I don’t judge or go into chat and tilt my team and talk down to them on hero choice. But I don’t feel bad for people who get reported for throwing when they refuse to swap off and are obviously feeding the enemy team ult.
Right up until the last second I am trying to win the match even if I have had to swap off and let someone else play a hero I think they are better at the I am but it’s all for the win and that is what comp is about.

There’s no way you’re experienced enough with every hero in game to know when someone playing a particular hero is being a benefit to the team or not.
Besides, you should be focusing on what you’re doing. You cannot be watching what everyone else on your team is doing because then you’re not doing your job.
So get off your high horse. You’re not the one to decide whether someone else is pulling their weight or not and you’re sure as hell not the one to dictate what someone else plays.
Again, you’re trying to claim your toxic stance is based on someone on your team being a hindrance when you’re in absolutely no position to judge.
You talk the talk, but your attitude clearly shows that you don’t walk that walk.
