Does anyone else think it looks so bland/boring without levels.
What am i actually grinding for in this game?
If i don’t play competitive and just play casual what’s the purpose? No more lootboxes no more free loot, if i don’t have a battlepass what’s the point?
There wasn’t really a good reason for them to remove borders rather than turn them into a customisation option. They could even sell borders as cosmetics in the shop if they wanted to.
people told me it was because it influenced toxicity but come on now, there’s so much stuff that could influence toxicity really a level?
honestly these ranks on battle pass was quite freaking lame along with the rewards beyond 80 especially when the so called titles ya get you lose them after that season is over like i completed the battle pass and i dont even know what it brings beyond 200…i feel like they are trying to kill off this game with major mistakes
I don’t think they should reveal them in game. But I see no reason not to keep counting levels in the profile. We don’t know yet if/how past battle passes will be presented in the profile, I think they should be prominent.

I feel horrible for the people who had a diamond border and were proud of it. Imagine grinding thousands of hours just for Blizz to be like: yeah we’re just gonna remove that now.

others was saying you lose the stuff beyond rank 80 in the batle pass which is just those titles though as in season 2 things reset while the stuff you earned from season 1 up to 80 you keep which to me doesnt bother me as i dont even use the titles as its been said that on the health screen those titles replace your battle tag like supposedly if you get potg it will show the title instead of the battle tag

It shows the title right underneath the battle tag.

I agree, overwatch 2 hass a reward problem. No loot boxes, no displayed ranks in competitive, no more portrait levels, no on fire icon, no cards at the end of the game. Lame af. Its just downgrading things. Change for the sake of change.

no more competitive stats before season 35
They really took away every single form of permanent progression for no reason.
The only thing left is rank and hours played, only visible on your own profile…
One of the things I enjoyed about Diablo 3 seasons when I was still playing it hardcore was that every season came with its own level border to progress on. You could re-use older borders but I always liked seeing the way the new ones added more flair as I leveled up that season.
Exactly, Blizz knows how to make a cool border system. It doesn’t even have to be tied to level, it can be for achieving certain things like in Diablo.
I have no idea why they want to scrub clean the UI design so harshly until it loses core aspects of what made the game great
Blizz, stop trying to participate in “cleanest simplest most bare-bones simplified game of 2022” it’s not good

Have a platinum 3 star border and it pains me that it’s permanently stuck. Plus the BP is finished and I have no use for the double experience.
Once you hit BP level 200 it literally doesn’t feel rewarding to play. Over 1 million xp points and can’t even get a basic skin with coins.
Your level really meant nothing. All they showed is how new your account is and could give a general indication if the player is a smurf alt account or not.
Level 200? Pfft… it doesn’t feel rewarding hitting level 20. Levels now mean just as little as they did in OW1. Now you just get to start over at level 1 each season!

It doesn’t matter if it meant anything or not, that’s not the point, the point is it offered a sense of progression. A feeling like you were working toward something. The achievements don’t mean anything either, but they’re fun to get. Something doesn’t need to have a deep, important meaning for it to feel fun and satisfying to achieve.
