Hi.
Long story short, i’ve been trying for days now to fix my latency situation but nothing that i did made an improvement, until today.
Everywhere else, my latency is between 15ms to 40 ms depending of the localization of the servers, while i’m stuck at a variable 200ms up to 350ms on OW2.
What i tried :
- Flush DNS and all others ipconfig tips on the technical page of Blizz
- Rebooting my router (obviously)
- Opening all the ports on the router
- Putting my PC on DMZ
So i did a WinMTR and here’s the result :

Here, you can clearly see that level3 servers are the cause of the high latency.
I’ve saw that in the past, there was a major issue with them already : High latency - centurylink! Mainthread - Technical Support - World of Warcraft Forums
And based on my MTR, the same is happening here.
So i was wondering…what if i’m not on that level3 server?
I tried blocking the IP’s, but as its a route, its not on my side.
I’ve found a trick, which consist of connecting in the training map for 10 secs with my cellular shared connection and my ethernet cable unplugged, then plugging back the ethernet while turning off my cellular sharing connection.
It kicks me out, and when i log on back, it put me everytime on OpenTransit instead of level3.
And here’s the magic with Opentransit, 35-45ms constant every sessions :

So there’s obviously a huge problem with level3 as some others peoples are actually encoutering the same issue and everything works fine if you’re using opentransit instead of level3
