I’ve noticed especially being in plat and gold that a lot of the time sense its the base rank i get people who just bought the game against 3 gold borders and it ends up being a 4v6. I feel like it should place you with people with similar hours played in comp until at least diamond even with ow2 and the border feature getting removed there is a definite skill gap between people with gold border and level 26. thoughts?
I find the higher border worse as they usually are cocky or have given up on the game and are usually hardstuck potatos. The newer players usually will listen and they are very nice and can actually aim

Based on the two comments above – totally different opinions – I am glad they are planning to do away with borders in OW2.
You are damned if you do, damned if you don’t. If you are high rank / doing good with a low level border you are a smurf, if you are low rank / doing poorly with a high level border you are hard stuck.
Hours in a game that is constantly evolving, with many different game modes, honestly means nothing. All it does is give people an out to cry when things aren’t going their way.

i just mean i find it hard (for example this happened to me yesterday) when i have two tanks who are level 30 feeding there brains out into a diamond border reaper with 2,000 hours hardstuck gold i feel like its so unbalanced
