Who do you think should be the one responsible for being the princess while the other 4 members push up front.
I see tanks and sometimes dps do it which for me seems like a horrible idea. I think the best options are long range supports or otherwise supports that have decent dueling or self sustain abilities.

fun to play sombra on these maps because enemy team more often than not don’t protect it, won a few games thanks to that

I usually stay on payload (as a support), but I sometimes have to get off in case my team is in need of aid.
I usually leave the best self sustain char on the payload.
Lucio is a prime candidate for sitting on the payload. The tank and DPS making space further ahead need the sustain of a main support, plus Lucio isn’t a sitting duck left alone on cart - he can quickly get out of there and bring the rest back if he needs to.

Yea that’s true. I considered the main heals dilemma of having big heals push with the team but I like to let my comments remain as they were when I gave them 0.4 seconds of thought before posting

It doesn’t really matter who it’s meant to be since the other members of my team can’t be trusted to do it, so I’ll be doing the dance emote on the payload regardless of the role or even the character I’m playing. My teammates tell me that they don’t get paid enough to push the 'load. Their celery must be too low.
Imo, the one who contributes the least in the pushing up. Can vary between comps.
Kiri isn’t a bad option, long Ish range heals, able to defend herself, can escape if needed.
I like being payload princess. I’m lazy. Let the team stress.
It used to be support, but now it’s most efficient for one DPS to be on payload, with everyone else pushed up.
Regardless, it should never be the tank

Hot take that might bring a lot of controversy : the payload goes faster if you are more than one on it.

Long range support is best option unless their getting flanked then support an one dps
Payload princess is either a dps or support. It should be one who has access to long range damage or support if possible to contribute as much as they can while the team pushes up. If no long ranged damage or support options, whoever is either having the least impact / whoever is best at fighting off potential flankers.

Sometimes it is, because the tank is the most capable of forcing objective. You can’t always push them off high ground or whatever else
