Seems like there should be a bit more nuance than whatā€™s provided. Thereā€™s a lot of grey area in this conversation.

Iā€™ll give it a +1 because I think the idea of redemption is ok, but thereā€™s just not enough background to fully commit.

sad part is alot of the palyer base will do what they can to try and get a player banned over playing a hero they like playing

I think it depends on what players are banned for. If itā€™s from being toxic, maybe in 2 years they will be more mature and can play on that account again. If they were banned for cheating, I think perma bans are totally fine.

Tho I also think with a 2 year ban they will most likely have either moved on to another game, or another account. And getting their old one back might not matter too much.

yea but i also mean 2 years for euch action, not a clean slate, but i ask this only for poeple are in between, becuase is there a indication bliz gives acount action on severery of chat?

i mean if your like me, and chat alot, but do want to invest time and money, and not simpley switch accounts. becuase that is easyest to so, sim card only cost 5,- you not want legit players make just new accounts? do we?

next to that, maybe bliz should inplent a IP calculator for how many acounts have acount actions. like for example , if poeple have alot accounts with alot actions, wel, that shouldent be alowed under 2 year expire does it?

yea i agree with cheating, but it has to be verified . but i mainly talking about acount actions. perma bans , wel that shouldent efect anythig i gues, i mean the yourney towards a licence closure, i dont have expeirnece with cheating, so i not wana include it in here. dont know how that feels or works

Depends on the action.

Hacking should be perma ban. Everything else is fine to expire.

Most of the people in this community are rats who will report you for breathing the wrong way. If you get banned for something like ā€œAbusive chatsā€ then you a 100% shouldnā€™t be perma banned (or banned at all really).

Hackers can stay banned though, L bozos

I think that it depends on why they were actioned. Without some specific parameters -1, lifetime ban because usually itā€™s for good reasons if you get a permaban. There may be places to make exceptions, but youā€™d need to specify the exceptions where bans expire vs just having global expiration.

yea but i mean, sory i was unclear, i mean acount acrions before licence ban, i gues if you get to a perma ban with 2 year ecpire of a action, yea then its karma, but now its ju8st building intil its game over, with no redemption, beta or overwatch free to play players, dont mater at all

+2, I stopped being toxic for almost 2 years but one week people flamed me for what felt like 10 games in a row so I replied once and screamed in voice so they would keep it quiet, that on top of mostly false reports (sorry but asking nicely to somebody to stop feeding when they keep doing it on purpose or singing a song with another word for bottom isnā€™t a valid reason to report for abusive chat) and thatā€™s how I lost my main account.

Now I report all my teammates constantly if they donā€™t swap, feed, say anything or simply just lose, and the enemy team if they say gg or ez or anything like that, I get one or two messages thanking me for reporting daily :clown_face:
