This is wrong on so many levels.
How can a ow 2 player who never played 6v6 objectively vote in this?
How can a vote, based in forums full of haters and complainers give you objective unbiased data about public opinion, when majority of ow 2 player’s base, doesnt even care about forums and reddit, and actually plays the game?
How is this ‘‘data’’ relevant, when clearly blizzard would rather invest their money into ‘‘reworking’’ ow 1 heroes to fit more into 5v5, rather than redesign the game back to 6v6? Their recent dev activities actually realistically support this claim.

From the ones I looked at in the past they tend to go pretty even. There really is not a huge clear winner for many of these because many people are split on 50/50. I used to enjoy 6v6 and was disappointed about the shift, but after playing 5v5 for awhile now I am not missing 6v6 at all.
I honestly don’t want to go back to 6v6 and have to deal with 2 tanks in the game. I enjoy having 1 tank, but 2 or more is a chore.

This is statistics in a nutshell. You don’t poll every single person in the world for results. You do various surveys or small samplings. The more numbers you get the more accurate things tend to be, but it is unrealistic to get that many.
Even the +100 here so far is very similar to past ones I found that went up to like 1000 in different players. It generally tended to go 50/50 split between players with ~10% liking both.
6v6 and 5v5 poll after poll over different time periods has only shown to me that there is no clear winner by some huge margin. Like 20% only like 5v5 and 70% like 6v6. At most I’ve only see a difference of like 10%. 55% like 6v6 or 45% like 5v5. Its a slight majority, but its pretty damn well divided.
Surveys are mostly done in general areas to involve as much distinct opinions and takes as possible, not specific ones (like forums and reddit).
For example, you dont go to McDonalds to ask customers what Fast food they prefer most. And thus, you dont go to forums, which are in 70% used to complain about something, out of which 70% contain complains are about that specific topic, which then you make survey about, to get viable outcome.
5v5 or 6v6 is not very region specific for that to matter. Forums or reddit or in real life. The people playing OW have an opinion and its one or the other or both. The only viable argument is now that we are 1yr past 5v5 released is a survivor bias.
Which is why I make reference to surveys over the past. People surveyed before 5v5 was even balanced in the game. Around the time period it was first launched. Now, a year later. Throughout all of those times I see the community still insanely split.
It doesn’t give me data I’m just curious it’s like a social experiment and also don’t be a bad loser dude that’s not cool.

yeah I voted for both because of that both modes should be available we have the players for that and even more players that left because of 5v5 and role passives and the community it’s pretty much splitted anyways it wouldn’t hurt for them to make a 6v6 no passives gamemode.
Nah don’t worry about it lol this is just a for fun, but, it is still prof that people want 6v6 maybe not a lot, but, some do for example when you say 6 out of 10 people preferred this it’s basically the same, but, with a hundred and something.

To be honest the two are not as different gameplaywise as people might think.
The main issues of 6v6 were this buffered period were you had to burn defensive tools for half the fight just to start getting damage to stick on something. And allowing more then 1 tank allowed for team builds that would just combo off each other in a way that locks out like 2/3 the playable cast at any given time.
Matter of fact, with 5v5 combination like 2 Tanks + 2 Supports + 1 dps or 3 tanks + 2 supports are quite likely to win at least to most of the games I have played.
I have been with OW since day 1, and still prefer it over OW2. At least give us options to do 5v5, 6v6 or mix them randomly.
