can we talk a bit about his ult?
according to the wiki, his ult takes 1880 points to be ready for use.
to compare…
winston: 1850 points
sigma: 2100
orisa: 1950
zarya: 2270
i dont know about you, but a ultimate this strong and capable of wiping an entire team on a point should either:
- take waaaaay longer to charge (winstons has nearly the same charge rate but his is by far not as deadly for whatever reason)
- allow interruption through cc’s like shatter (the amount of times my shatter got canceled by cc abilities the moment i press the ult button and i lost all ult charge is infuriating)
- have a smaller aoe (why is it so big + having a speed boost?)
any one of the above points are merely examples, but something has to happen.
and no, not every team is coordinated like pro’s not to mention using coms to coordinate to focus and take him down fast.
he is nearly always pocketed by both supports and/or nano’d when he ults. which makes it impossible to kill him.
when he gets slept he instantly stands up because other people on the team are shooting him. (also with the latest sleep dart nerf it got a lot harder to actually have enough time to run away so that his ult ends.)
anyone else got some imput on this issue?

I didn’t know it was that quick to build. It should absolutely cost more.

2000 points should be fine. Its not as good as grav but 100% better than the other ults. Its not like he does not constantly does damage either.

Most tank ults are quick to build. Rein is 1650, ball 1675 for example. This is after they were like all increased by 8% or something a few patches ago.

lets not talk about it, and just say we did

Wow didn’t know it cost that little. I thought it was on par with like Sig. Seems like it should defo be same cost as flux or maybe even grav.

But those are one and done. Reins lasts forever and causes nonstop chaos especially when nano’d
You mean Ramm’s lasts forever?

Well he does say “Suffer, as I have!”
Sounds like you’re suffering.
Working as intended?
I was jealous there for a second like “how long are your shatters lasting??”

It’s a strong ult with not a whole lot of ways to legitimately counter it because of how long is lasts and how widespread it is. It’s true that you can change up your comp to be more spread out so it’s not as effective, but that point is moot when it comes to have to keep or take the objective or payload, and it’s in overtime. There’s not all that much you can do.

I hate Ram ult. It’s just an automatic ‘win fight’ button. I don’t really care about how well it does or does not work at top elos, because down here in the metal ranks, there is no counter play unless you can convince your team to just hard focus him, and that’s assuming you’ve killed at least one of their supports so they can’t pump him full of heals.
I hate that ult almost as much as I hate Mei, Genji, and Hanzo (a forking lot, in case you aren’t getting it).

Hes most powerful in melee.
The ult is melee only and makes him unable to shoot at ranged.
As for the other tanks, they have their own uses. Winston’s ult is the hardest to master.
Rammatra’s ultimate has a big skill cap of using it to 3 seconds or gettibg the full 30 seconds.
It can easily be wasted in the duration of a sleep dart and thus canceled.
Imo Rammatraa in general and especially his ult is still op

perhaps the ult is overpowered because he wants others to suffer as he has?
Instead of ramms ult, I want to talk about armored core. Happy to see it back, and hope they do it justice.
