After playing as, with and against current Genji, I’ve decided that his right click needs to be totally guttered. It’s way to easy to get on top of someone and just spam shuriken shotgun blasts to their head.
Just my two credits.

idk hes an annoying guy ofc but still seems like high skill floor very high skill ceiling and doesnt seem overtuned hes fine imo

M2 spanji is not a high skill hero right now.
The only reason why Genji isnt the top dps is because Soj is so insanely broken and has a perfect kit that makes her a sniper with high sustain AND insane anti-dive survivability. Chaos Storm is a CC field that shreds tanks and has exactly zero visual/sound queue. Its everything people pretend Sym sentries are, but indestructible.

Nothing about his m2 was changed from ow to ow2
Less barriers, less CC, no off tank and giga nerfed counters means he can get away with spamming it for way longer and at way closer distances than he was able to. I hope I dont have to explain the concept of indirect buffing, right?
And I am saying this as a genji player that currently uses him in ladder.

m2 spam still doesnt seem that good to me, imo its on you for letting genji dive you but i also havent played genji since very early into ow1 so maybe the genji players im against just suck lol
That is true for everybody following the reduction of barriers and cc. Every dps and support like zen and kiriko can spam as much as they want with CC not being a problem to them in the first place.
Notice how tanks are complaining about zen and sombra more than ever.
Give him 175hp then maybe.
He’s got too many “Get out of jail free cards” to be “high skill floor” at the moment.

Eeehhh he’s a reaper with double jump, m2 spam is all you need to be a really effective genji. The damage that thing has is MAD.
… A clear pattern of many people reporting the same problem.
People need to see the bigger picture.
I’m mostly a zarya main and even I feel like she’s god tier right now with how often she gets bubbles and how easy it is to hit 100 energy.
Genji absolutely needs looking at…

Maybe you can explain how it’s wrong for Genji to keep spamming attacks until the target is dead.

If he is overtuned, he should be toned down. Same with every other hero.
If they nerf other heroes and leave Genji as-is, I’d be surprised, honestly. There are several heroes who are doing too much right now. The reward-to-risk ratio is off.
