Hey folks. We’re going to go ahead and lock this one. Discussing moderator actions is against our Code of Conduct, and this thread keeps moving in that direction. - Forum Moderator
We reworked the in-game one, where players about to be banned get a warning, so they stop doing whathever your doing
As a forum rat, and i can tell you this from experience and a lot of people can too
Bans in this forum honestly have no warning, we are left with attempting to predict what each mod might or might not be punisheable and base our behavior on a assumption on what someone MIGHT find offensive, bans come out of nowhere in they always do and it always leaves you thinking “what did i even do now?”
So this is a proposal of a different, more fair for both parties
The forums come with steps to get banned
-
Warning number 1: Comes with no punishment, Just a warning saying "Hey, you did this this and this and broke this x rule of thr code of counduct this is your first warning, you only have one left
-
Warning 2: Maybe a small punishment like a ban for a few hours or so, but only in the worst cases: Again clearly explaining why you were banned, which is something the forums lack
-
appropiate punishment for the broken rule,
Basically that
Fron experience, i was banned a few times for reasons that honestly made no sense, i was never toxic, yet non toxic people can get banned for doing a joke, and the toxic ones are never banned,
So please, consider this,
Imagine if i were a toxic person, and i get a warning and im like “oh damn, the forum mods dont like this so i better not do it again”
What we have now is a "You got banned for doing this minor thing bc we dont have another type of punishment, just bans
And maybe make the TOS clearer, because most bans i see arent included on it
Another suggestion about another forum issue
Also, The following things would make the forums a better place
- A reason why topic are locked showing next to the “Locked” Message
- A reason showing why posts were deleted
- a reason showing why topics were deleted
