Lets play a game: Create a nerf that sounds like something they would do

Genji: Reduced instant 50 damage on Swift Strike, but replacing it with 25 base damage and giving it a bleed effect that ticks 5 damage every .5 seconds for 3 seconds, resulting in damage over time that totals to 50-55 damage overall.

A-and no, I’m not a Blizzard employee trying to get ideas.

We heard you guys thought Tracer was too strong so we took another look at her and decided to test some “slight” tweaks that will go into PTR next patch.

  • Blink CD increased by 1 second
  • Spread increased by 10%
  • Ultimate charge required increased by 15%
  • Pulse bomb damage decreased to 250

By the way, we will ignore all PTR feedback and the patch will go straight to live as is.

Wee believe that Moira is too strong

So we’ve reduced her healing per second to 70 per second and her orbs heal at a slower rate as well.

Because fun sollutions that please everybody are not for blizz, Road and Mercy obvious examples

We are worried about triple tank coming back, and so we are making some exciting changes to Ana.

  • Due to her ever increasing age, her scoped and un-scoped shots will now miss 40% of the time, all the time.

  • New passive ability: RIP: Whenever she gets dived by literally anyone, Ana kills herself by ODing on 13 of her sleep darts. She does not respawn.

We are hoping that with these new changes people will finally realize that playing Ana is pointless, and you might as well give up and switch to Moira.

Due to the recent increase in Df’s Rocket punch hitbox we have realise how oppressive this can be.

-Reduce the hitbox to smaller than its ever been.

We have also realise how strong Rocket punch can be, no one likes to be one shot because they were out of position while up against a wall and ignoring the loud slow moving charge of the largest dps character

-Rp damage decreased to 100 for full charge and 49 for wall hit (wouldnt want to one hit tracer)
-Rp cooldown increased to 6 seconds

Due to the feedback from the PTR, we realized that Hanzo should still have scatter arrow and volley should be changed.

Scatter Arrow
Reduced damage per fragment

  • Fully Charged: 50 per fragment

  • Uncharged: 10 per fragment

Volley Changed to MultiShot

This ability will fire 3 arrows at one time and go in the same direction where he aims.

Damage Per Arrow

  • Fully Charged: 85-90

  • Uncharged: 25

Spread

  • 5 degrees

We hope these changes will accommodate newer players while also accommodating experienced players as well.

Torb can’t wall climb like the community has been asking for, but his turret can. (Moves around on spider legs and can climb on walls and ceilings)

I don’t play much Hanzo so I don’t know exactly what he needs but your idea seems good. I’m not sure of the math but scatter arrow should not be able to do more than 250, and even then it’s pretty annoying.

Scatters base damage is 125 on hit but i the fragment is 75 damage a hit so the fragments in total can deal 450 damage while mine can do 250 thats a huge decrease

We feel the Mei changes of allowing her to feel multiple people was a step in the right direction but overall she felt too ‘oppressive’ so we are reducing the range of her primary fire by 50%.

Am honest to gawd expecting mei to get hit with a nerf after her buff goes live, I expect the forums to go into meltdown after this simply because she became more relevant.

Move all of Sombra’s power to her hack then nerf her hack

hey lemon what do u think about the hanzo one?

We feel that bastion is too strong in this current meta, so we’ve decided to make some changes to him:

  • Removed iron clad
    "This gives dive heroes an easier time of killing bastion
  • Increase spread by 25%
    This makes it so he is completely useless against any 200hp hero (with exception of zenyatta)
  • Reduce hp to 200
    This will make him useless in turret form

We’ve also decided to make some damage changes to moira:

  • Reduced primary fire damage from 50 to 25
    This gives flankers an easier time of killing moira. We feel that flankers should have an easy time killing support heroes.
  • Removed Damage orb
    This will make it so her orbs are more focused on healing rather than killing the enemy team, this also makes her worse at defending herself, as intended.

We will also be removing winston, because I once saw a thread where someone wanted winston removed.

We also feel that nerfing reaper would be a good choice, this is because this person in silver came and told me that reaper is too overpowered.

  • Removing wraith form
    The current problem with reaper is that he has too much mobility and very easy to escape from certain situations
  • Removing death blossom
    This ult is fast charging and easily gets 4 kills every time you use it, it also counters tanks.
    Finally, we will be nerfing symmetra:
    Symmetra is quite a powerful hero in the current meta with a whooping 0.0% pick rate in OWL, with these stats, we feel like she is too powerful, so will be making changes.
  • Removing auto lock from her primary fire to a beam like zarya
    This is actually a buff we feel that would make her more viable.
  • Remove photon barrier
    With this change, she will be put in the “I’m a free kill” spot of the meta
  • Removing both her ultimate abilities
    Her ultimates are game changing, she doesn’t deserve a game changing ultimate because she looks weird.
