I’ve found the game has become unplayable due to aimbotters and skilled players abusing their abilities to grief Bronze players. I don’t understand why a Grandmaster/Master/Diamond or an aimbotter would enjoy farming players of lower skill. Blizzard, apparently, can’t do anything to stop it, so unfortunately, I can’t enjoy the game.

Why would anyone use aimbot in bronze lol. I guess everyone with better aim is aimbot for you.
Infestation is too strong word. I would say you can occasionaly see someone friefing or on alt , but its hardly affecting you chance to climb because climbing from bronze is easy with PBSR system.

Ive seen a legit aimbot in high bronze once. That was my question as well. How and why? If the cheater does it without noticing for long time then he would be in a much higher rank, not in high bronze.
Killcam showing that in the exact same time when the character shoots the camera moves to the nearest enemies head instantly.

You dont have to pretend, i say there is definitely not problem with aimbotters in bronze. And griefers will not stop you in climbiNg either if you are good enough to climb. Prove me wrong, record 10 games in row as you play them and show me these griefers and aimbotters.

If you turn on aimbot in bronze you would climb from bronze in 10-15 games in few hours. Depends how deep you are in bronze.

I know that concept is hard to understand but the more you get this reponse, the earlier you might believe it. Complaining about “aimbotter and smurfs(LOL)” wont bring you anywhere. No clue how people can still be in such denial.
I play the game often enough to have a vague picture of how many people smurf/bot. And no, it barely happens. Smurfs yes, mostly people who “smurf” are somewhere near their real elo, even tho you want to believe that they are GM smurfs. Hacker ? Barely. A hacker would also move out of bronze in no time

I’m not sure why some people pretend there isn’t cheaters, when Blizzard themselves say they ban THOUSANDS a year for cheating with aimbots/trigger bots.

no idea man, this is my pet peeve in any online gaming community. Not just this game. But every game you play, you’ll hear the same old chorus line from the community.
Nobody ever admits that people cheat, when it’s obvious that some people do in fact, cheat. In over 15 years of playing FPS games I’ve never understood this.

OW has a decent anti-cheat, In all my games I have only encountered 1 blatant cheater and one dodgy player that could also have just been a t500 smurf.

There are cheaters, yes. Are they enough to keep you from climbing over the course of a long amount of time? Heck no.
I got accused of cheating within playing 2 games in silver. They were so sure of it, claiming i always knew where they were, thinking i wallhacked i guess? Point is, some people think there are a ton of hackers, while they could just be upset that they’re getting clapped by a good player, or just simply don’t know what good aim/awareness looks like.
EVERY.SINGLE.GAME (Not just OW) has a problem with griefers and cheaters. It’s literally impossible to stay on top of it and catch everybody.
What is your honest expectations of this game? Be real, and actually use your brain when youre making complaints.
It’s like saying… why is there still crime when we have the police?
People will find ways to get around bans, and suspensions, they’ll grief, throw and cheat. The real issue is not the game. It’s the people. Where there is a competitive mode in any game you get 2 types of people, the people that care and the people that don’t.
You have just one choice. Get on with it. Have realistic expectations of your experience on this or whatever game you’re playing, and if even then you don’t enjoy yourself, STOP PLAYING. nobody is forcing you here.
BUT I want to clarify one thing, if you think that the reason you’re in bronze is because of the small handful of cheaters/griefers, you’re completely wrong. That is actually just your fault.

Sorry but the only reason ppl are stuck in bronze (if they don’t know the reason like 2fps or broken mouse/screen) then its always you.
Bronze is the worst possible rank.
If you can’t beat bronze players… Do you really think you can hold up to a silver player?

A silver or gold player probably looks like dafran when he shoots you with his amazing 100% perfect tracking. 
More like 20% but obviously 20% more accurate than you uf he beats you. #norant #gitgud #ask for gameplay reviews and coaching if you WANT to get gud.
You don’t have to git gud on your own. But you have to accept your mistakes.
Otherwise nobody will even try to help.
A lot of smurf are plat or gold who are trash so they need to smurf if they want to feel good

The reason to use aim bot in bronze is for testing. They don’t want to use it against high level players who record everything. Low level players will submit a report and move on. High level players will send video to blizz and permanent ban.

People use a sincere issue as a platform to insult people’s skill level.
I’m fine with being Bronze. I don’t pretend to be skilled and I don’t expect to be anything more than maybe Silver, and honestly, I’m content at Bronze. I’d like fair games is all, (you know where SR1200’s battle real SR1200’s) but unfortunately, those seem to be maybe half the games anymore.
Now, if you plan on just posting something like, “GIT GUD,” or “You’re trash and think everyone is an aimbot,” just save it. Try not to be toxic and have a decent and honest discussion.
